With the NFL Draft just a few weeks away and the start of the free agency period before that, teams start making major changes to their rosters in hopes of lifting the Vince Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season. The New England Patriots put up an excellent run to their sixth Super Bowl victory of the Bill Belichick era, and they could be in line for title No. 7 next season. What are the odds that New England goes back-to-back? Here’s a look the teams with the best odds to win Super Bowl LIV.

5. Chicago Bears — 14:1

The Chicago Bears trade for superstar Khalil Mack will go down as one of the most impactful of the decade. The cost for trading a Defensive Player of the Year candidate was a bunch of low draft picks that don’t have the potential to reach Mack’s floor.

A Cody Parkey botched field goal was the only thing keeping the Bears out of the Divisional round. If Mitchell Trubisky can make strides in year two under Matt Nagy, you could see a Chicago team with a strong shot at dethroning New England.

4. New Orleans Saints — 8:1

We get it Saints fans –one of the most outrageous missed calls in sports history cost you a shot at the Super Bowl. The window hasn’t closed for New Orleans, and in a poor division, the Saints have a strong shot at getting another first-round bye. Drew Brees, Alvin Kamara, and Michael Thomas all return to an offense that was third in the league in points per game. If their offense is in the Super Bowl next season there’s a good chance New Orleans fans get redemption for the blown call.

3. Los Angeles Rams — 8:1

The Super Bowl runner-ups have good odds to win Super Bowl LIV, and with good reason. Jared Goff should continue to grow as a passer (even if he was exposed in the big game). Sean McVay will certainly add more wrinkles to the offense after being shut down by the Patriots’ defense, and Todd Gurley should be at 100%.

A healthy Gurley makes this offense that much more explosive. He is arguably the best running back in the league and an MVP candidate when he brings his A game. The best team in the NFC with the best defensive player in the league in Aaron Donald will definitely have a shot at making another run at the Super Bowl.

2. New England Patriots — 8:1

The defending champs don’t have the best odds to win Super Bowl LIV? There are a couple of factors to consider for why the Patriots are No. 2 on the list.

The first is Tom Brady’s age. He isn’t getting any younger and has lost significant zip on his deep ball. The next factor is the health of Rob Gronkowski. He has reportedly told teammates he will return next season but if he is banged up from the playoffs he won’t be as effective. You can never count New England out, but it will be very hard to repeat in a tough AFC. Still, Tom Brady has a good chance to add to his Super Bowl trophy case in 2020.

1. Kansas City Chiefs — 6:1

Newly appointed MVP Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are the early favorites to win the Super Bowl in 2020. Although the release of running back Kareem Hunt was somewhat of a surprise, this offense is still talented. It has two weapons on the outside in Sammy Watkins and Tarik Hill, and we expect Mahomes to get better in Andy Reid’s West Coast system.
