The Las Vegas Raiders made Ashton Jeanty the 6th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, as he became the highest running back to be selected since Saquon Barkley in 2018. And according to the odds, Jeanty is the favorite to win the award that Barkley won during his first year in the league.

Jeanty, Ward Favorites To Win NFL OROY Award

Jeanty was an all-world talent at Boise State last season. He racked up 2,601 yards on the ground during the 2024 campaign, which is the second most in college football history and just 27 yards off the all-time mark. That led him to being a Heisman Trophy finalist, an award that many believe should have been his instead of Travis Hunter’s.

His stock was high heading into the 2025 NFL Draft, and essentially every mock draft had Jeanty projected to be selected within the top-10.

The Raiders made that a reality. Las Vegas took the elite prospect with the 6th overall selection, making him the first draft pick in the Pete Carroll era. The team has high hopes for the explosive back, and the sportsbooks have taken note.

Based on the odds released by DraftKings, Jeanty is the early favorite to win the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award. He is currently listed at a +200 designation, which are implied odds of just over 33%. First overall pick and Titans quarterback Cam Ward is next on the list and not for behind Jeanty at +230, and Travis Hunter is in third on the list, though he is further back at +750.

Ashton Jeanty +200
Cam Ward +230
Travis Hunter +750
Tyler Shough +1200
Tetairoa McMillan +1400

Second round pick Tyler Shough is the quarterback on the list with the second-lowest odds despite being a second round pick. The Louisville product is listed at +1200, fourth on the list overall, thanks to having a good chance of winning the starting job with the New Orleans Saints.

The third quarterback on the list is 5th round pick Shedeur Sanders. After his unprecedented free fall in the 2025 NFL Draft, the new Cleveland Browns signal caller will have a shot at landing the starting job. He is listed at +1900 to win the OROY award, which are the 8th-shortest odds of any player on the board.
