The saga between Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens has taken an interesting turn. Would the Ravens ever consider trading their star quarterback? Here are three teams that could trade for Lamar Jackson.
Would Ravens Ever Move on From Lamar Jackson?
The Ravens and quarterback Lamar Jackson are at a crossroads, columnist Mike Preston writes. Is a trade possible?
Jackson is expected to make $74.5 million in 2026 and 2027, which would make him the highest-paid signal-caller in the league. But here is a suggestion for… pic.twitter.com/IrsHSyAdhH

Jackson is not on the trading block, nor have the Ravens expressed interest in moving the two-time MVP.
However, The Baltimore Sun’s Mike Preston wrote a column this week about Jackson and his impending contract negotiations. Jackson signed a five-year, $260 million contract through the 2027 NFL season.
Jackson, 28, is still playing at an MVP level and would command top dollar, with a chance his deal could reset the quarterback market.
However, injuries have derailed three of Jackson’s eight NFL seasons, including this one. Jackson is doubtful to play in the Ravens’ Saturday night game against the Green Bay Packers. The Ravens are eliminated from postseason contention if they lose.
There also seems to be tension between Jackson and coach John Harbaugh. If things continue to head in the wrong direction, the Ravens brass will have to choose between Jackson and Harbaugh.
Preston suggested the Ravens should explore trades for Jackson, who could command two to three first-round picks.

Las Vegas Raiders
Since Derek Carr left following the 2022 season, the Las Vegas Raiders have been searching for a franchise quarterback.
The Raiders could be in the market for a new head coach if they follow Pete Carroll. Las Vegas, which is 2-13 this season, could take one of the top quarterbacks in the upcoming draft.
If the Raiders want to make a splash and permanently solve their quarterback problems, perhaps they could try to pry Jackson away from Baltimore.
NFL legend Tom Brady is a partial owner of the Raiders. If Brady has a say on the team’s future, why wouldn’t he ask management to see if they could offer multiple first-round picks for Jackson?
Miami Dolphins
All signs point to a breakup between the Miami Dolphins and Tua Tagovailoa.
Head coach Mike McDaniel is likely returning for the 2026 season.
It will be expensive to move off Tagovailoa. If the Dolphins can somehow trade him to another team, the financial blow won’t be as significant.
Jackson would be a notable upgrade from Tagovailoa. Jackson is also from Florida, which could help entice him to Miami.
New York Jets
To get Jackson away from the Ravens, a team needs to offer multiple first-round picks.
The New York Jets have five first-round picks over the next two years. More importantly, they need a quarterback.
Would the Ravens say no to a Jets offer of four first-round picks? From New York’s perspective, it’s worth making the call.
