NFL Rumors: Are The Cleveland Browns Set At Quarterback For 2025?

The Cleveland Browns entered the 2025 NFL off-season with question marks surrounding their quarterback position. It was thought that they’d be big players in either free agency or during the draft when it came to adding signal callers to replace Deshaun Watson, but they haven’t exactly made the splash that fans had been hoping for by trading for Kenny Pickett and signing Joe Flacco.
With the addition of Flacco on Friday, is the team done adding quarterbacks this off-season?
Will The Browns Bring In Another QB For The 2025 NFL Season?
The free agency period passed the Browns by without any major activity on the QB market. Options like Russell Wilson, Justin Fields, and even Mac Jones found new homes in places other than Cleveland, and any union with Aaron Rodgers appears highly unlikely.
The only move they made to address the position during the month of March was the trade for Pickett, whose three-year NFL career has been mostly underwhelming so far. The signing of Flacco gives the team three QBs on their roster, including Watson.
Is the team done addressing the position this off-season? Are Flacco and Pickett going to be the primary options?

There are still a couple of ways that the Browns can add quarterback talent heading into the 2025 campaign. They have some of the best draft capital of any team in the league, which includes the 2nd overall pick and 5 picks within the first 104. They are also one of the teams to monitor in the Kirk Cousins situation, as Cleveland has been rumored to be one of the teams interested in the current Atlanta Falcons QB.
2025 will be Flacco’s 18th season in the NFL. He spent last year with the Indianapolis Colts, and went 2-4 in 6 starts and threw 12 touchdowns to 7 interceptions. He hasn’t started more than 10 games in a single season since 2017, and will be on his 6th team in that time frame.
Pickett saw limited action while backing up Jalen Hurts in Philadelphia last season. He was drafted 20th overall in 2022 by the Pittsburgh Steelers, but never lived up to their expectations.
