The Seahawks got their deep threat.
Per NFL Network’s The Insiders, the Seahawks are sending a 2026 fourth-round pick and a 2026 sixth-round pick to the Saints for Shaheed.
Shaheed has 44 receptions for 499 yards and two touchdowns in nine games this season. The versatile wide receiver also adds another element to the return game. In 2023, Shaheed was named First-Team All-Pro and made the Pro Bowl roster as a return specialist.
As a receiver, Shaheed’s speed makes him a prime candidate to stretch the field.
Since entering the NFL in 2022, Shaheed has 138 career catches for 2,055 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. The undrafted Shaheed also has two punt return touchdowns and one rushing touchdown.
Shaheed, 27, signed a one-year, $5.2 million extension with the Saints in 2024, which includes a $1 million signing bonus.
The Seahawks owe Shaheed $2.1 million in base salary for the rest of 2025.
Shaheed is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

The Seahawks’ passing attack relies heavily on Sam Darnold’s top target, wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. The third-year pro leads the NFL with 948 receiving yards to go along with 58 receptions and four touchdowns.
Outside of Smith-Njigba, the Seahawks are not getting much production out of their other receivers. Cooper Kupp, who signed with the team this past offseason, is the Seahawks’ second-leading receiver with 24 receptions for 293 yards and one touchdown.
Seattle clearly needed another receiver to pair with Smith-Njigba. Shaheed gives the Saints a vertical threat, which pairs nicely with Smith-Njigba’s surgical route-running.
Shaheed should be able to come into Seattle and thrive in an offense guided by offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, who orchestrated the Saints’ offense last season.
Shaheed is young and entering the prime of his career. With a team capable of winning the Super Bowl, the Seahawks added one of the best wide receivers on the market.
Seahawks Grade: A-
On the other side, the Saints are at the beginning of a rebuild under first-year head coach Kellen Moore.
The Saints are rolling with rookie quarterback Tyler Shough the rest of the way. Even though Shaheed could’ve helped Shaheed’s development, the organization must start thinking about stockpiling many picks in the next few drafts.
While the Saints were hoping for a Day 3 pick, snagging two Day 4 picks is a worthy alternative.
