Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson puts his finger up.

The Detroit Lions are once again one of the top teams in the NFL. The Lions will certainly look to upgrade their roster before the postseason. Here are three players that the Lions could go after at the Nov. 4 trade deadline.

Bengals Defensive End Hendrickson

Trey Hendrickson has seemingly been at odds with the Bengals’ front office for several years.

Hendrickson has wanted a long-term commitment from Cincinnati, but the organization has not budged. After skipping most of training camp, Hendrickson agreed to a restructured contract that increased his salary to $30 million for the 2025 season.

Hendrickson, 31, will be a free agent at the end of the season.

With Joe Flacco at quarterback, the Bengals (3-4) have new life. If the Bengals beat the New York Jets, Cincinnati will be right back in the AFC North race.

With Joe Burrow expected back in December, the Bengals are unlikely to move Hendrickson.

However, things could change from now until Nov. 4. If the Bengals lose two straight games, they would be better off selling Hendrickson to a team like the Lions, a contender looking to bolster their pass rush.

Imagine Hendrickson on one side of the line and Aidan Hutchinson on the other. That duo would cause opposing quarterbacks to lose sleep.

Seahawks DB Riq Woolen

The Seahawks are firing on all cylinders. Seattle is 5-2 and tied for first place in the NFC West.

However, the Seahawks are reportedly ready to move on from Riq Woolen. Per Jeremy Fowler, Woolen “doesn’t fit what Mike Macdonald wants to do.”

Woolen is a 6-foot-4 corner with great size and speed. Woolen is a ballhawk, with 11 interceptions in his career.

Injuries have decimated the Lions’ secondary. The Lions were missing five players in the secondary in the win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Adding Woolen would give the Lions much-needed insurance in the secondary.

Dolphins Edge Jaelan Phillips

Again, the Lions should be looking to add players to their wounded defense.

With Hendrickson likely staying in Cincinnati, the Lions should turn their attention toward the Miami Dolphins and edge rusher Jaelan Phillips.

The Dolphins are an abject disaster. At 1-6, Miami might have a new head coach by the end of the weekend. coach by the end of the weekend. Miami should be looking to sell at this year’s deadline.

Phillips has 19 total tackles and two sacks this season.

With Phillips entering free agency at the end of the year, Miami should move on from Phillips and get a draft pick from the Lions.
