Netflix has released the official trailer for Quarterback Season 2, a behind-the-scenes documentary series following three NFL signal-callers through the 2024–25 NFL season: Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow, Detroit’s Jared Goff, and Atlanta’s Kirk Cousins. Quarterback Season 2 Trailer “The great ones make it work,” Burrow says in the trailer. Burrow is one of the featured quarterbacks this season. Burrow had one of the greatest statistical seasons ever by a quarterback. Burrow threw for 4,918 yards, 43 touchdowns, and nine interceptions with a 70.6 completion percentage. Despite Burrow’s historic offensive season, the Bengals finished 9-8 and missed the postseason by one game. The season had some drama off the field, as Burrow’s home was burglarized while playing against the Dallas Cowboys in a December game on Monday Night Football. Staying in the Midwest, Goff entered the 2024-2025 season with high expectations. The Detroit Lions were expected to be one of the favorites to make the NFC Championship at the end of the season. Unfortunately for Lions fans, they ran into Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders, who defeated the Lions in the Divisional Round. Still, Goff led the Lions to a franchise-best 15 wins. Since arriving in Detroit, Goff has resurrected his career. The former first-round pick has proven he has what it takes to lead a team to a Super Bowl. Cousins is the only quarterback from Season 1 returning for the sophomore season. After spending six seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, Cousins signed a four-year, $180 million contract with the Atlanta Falcons. Cousins signed with Atlanta to be their starting quarterback. The veteran was surprised to see the team use a top 10 draft pick on quarterback Michael Penix Jr. After leading Atlanta to a 7-7 record, Cousins was benched for Penix.
