Russell Wilson has a new home, as the free agent quarterback is signing a one-year contract with the New York Giants.

Russell Wilson’s Contract With The Giants

Wilson is heading to the Big Apple.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Wilson and the Giants have agreed to terms on a one-year contract worth up to $21 million, including $10.5 million guaranteed.

The Wilson news comes days after the Giants signed Jameis Winston to a two-year, $8 million contract.

Tommy DeVito is also on the Giants roster.

Because of the contracts, Wilson will likely be the Week 1 starter, with Winston as the primary backup.

Wilson now finds himself on his third team in three years.

After being released by the Broncos last offseason, Wilson signed a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

After missing the first six games due to injury, Wilson became the Steelers’ starter in Week 7 and led the team to a postseason berth.

Wilson guided the Steelers to a 10-3 start before losing the final five games of the season, including the Wild Card game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Wilson, 36, threw for 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns, and five interceptions in 11 games.

Will The Giants Draft A Quarterback?

Even with Wilson and Winston on the roster, the Giants will still consider taking a quarterback with the No. 3 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Miami’s Cam Ward is likely going to the Tennessee Titans with the first pick.

If the Browns pass on Shedeur Sanders at No. 2, the Giants could take the Colorado quarterback with pick No. 3.

The Giants are only paying Wilson and Winston around $14.5 million guaranteed in 2025. Adding a quarterback like Sanders or waiting until Round 2/3 are realistic options.
