South Carolina football is looking to take the next step under Shane Beamer, who is entering his fifth season as head coach. Expectations are sky-high for the Gamecocks, following an impressive 9-4 season, and fans are paying a premium to get in on the action at Williams-Brice Stadium. Ticket prices have jumped 191% to $133.88 on average, marking the highest jump in the SEC. South Carolina finished 5-4 in the SEC last year and put together three ranked wins against Texas A&M, Missouri, and Clemson while losing by a combined five points versus No. 16 LSU and No. 7 Alabama.
South Carolina Football Ticket Prices Up 191% In 2025
Beamer has guided the program to 29 wins during his tenure, the most of any South Carolina football coach in their first four seasons and won SEC Coach of the Year in 2024.
This season, South Carolina enters ranked No. 14 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. With a berth to the College Football Playoff firmly in their grasp and a potential Heisman candidate under center, there’s been a renewed sense of excitement and optimism among Gamecocks fans.
As a result, ticket prices have sky-rocketed on the secondary market compared to a year ago. According to a report, South Carolina football tickets are up 191% year-over-year, the biggest increase in the SEC.
The average South Carolina home game will cost $133.88, good for the fifth-highest mark in the SEC. Only Georgia, Texas, Oklahoma, and Tennessee have higher average ticket prices in the SEC in 2025.
Sellers, Stewart Give South Carolina Reason For Optimism
“I know there’s a lot of expectations for this year’s team, and there should be,” Beamer told reporters at training camp. “I’m excited. We got a chance to have a really good team, but we’re going to be good in years to come as well.”
Much of the hype surrounding South Carolina in 2025 centers around quarterback LaNorris Sellers, one of the best returning players in the conference. A dual-threat quarterback, Sellers burst onto the scene as a redshirt freshman, throwing for 2,534 yards with 18 touchdowns and only seven interceptions, while adding 674 rushing yards and seven scores on the ground. Sellers enters the season as a legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate and a player who could propel South Carolina to the College Football Playoffs.
Fellow sophomore Dylan Stewart is expected to blossom into one of the league’s premier pass-rushers. The 6-foot-5 edge has the potential to help push the Gamecocks defense, which was already among the nation’s best last year, to the next level. As a freshman, he finished with 6.5 sacks but will have to deal with being the focal point of the opposing team’s scouting report.
With impact players on both sides of the ball, the Gamecocks have plenty of reason to believe that South Carolina could make its first-ever College Football Playoff appearance and fans are clearly buying in, making South Carolina games one of the hottest tickets in the SEC in 2025.
