Stefanos Tsitsipas Plays With New Racquet And Wins Dubai ATP Title

First, Madison Keys, and now Stefanos Tsitsipas makes a bold racquet and string change that pays off with a big win. Tsitsipas defeated Felix Auger Aliassime 6-3, 6-3 to win the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships title. With the win, Tsitsipas returns to the Top Ten.
Armed with a new racquet and strings, Tsitsipas’s game looked the best in months against FAA. Whether it is the equipment itself and/or the mental boost of trying something different and seeing results, it does not matter.

His strokes were stellar. The score does not show how many long, physical rallies these players had during the match. Tsitsipas had to dig deep to win his first career ATP 500 title.

Stef wins his biggest hard court title.
After going 0-11 in ATP 500 finals, he gets his 1st title at this level.
Playing great all-court tennis & hitting his backhand as well as ever.

Labor Of Love Is (Hopefully) Up Next For Stefanos Tsitsipas With Paula Badosa
Up next for Tsitsipas is Indian Wells. Fans hope to see Tsitsipas participating in the Eisenhower Cup mixed doubles exhibition on Tuesday night.
Very sad 😭
Paula Badosa was crying after injuring her back & being forced to withdraw mid-match tonight in Merida, Mexico
Lota of hugs to you @paulabadosa
Get well soon https://t.co/huab8QzB8i pic.twitter.com/yOTbx3j3Bg

His girlfriend and partner for the event, Paula Badosa, was forced to withdraw from her Merida Cup quarterfinal match against Daria Saville. Badosa was spotted crying as she left the court. Fans desperately hope Badosa is not dealing with a recurrence of the back injury that sidelined her for almost two years. A healthy Paula Badosa played great tennis after returning last year earning the WTA Comeback Player of the Year award.
Tsitsipas Gave This Week In ATP Tennis A Much Needed Boost
It is the week before Indian Wells so fans naturally are looking ahead. With Sinner suspended and players and with food poisoning decimating the draw in Acapulco, this Dubai final was just what the doctor ordered to rescue a weird week of ATP tennis.
A well connected person in Acapulco just told me that
Tommy Paul (withdrew)
Casper Ruud (withdrew)
Alex Michelson (lost)
Alexander Zverev (lost)
Holger Rune (retired)and all had food poisoning today.
