Super Bowl 2025 MVP Odds, Favorites, & Best Longshot Bets

Will someone besides a quarterback win Super Bowl MVP this year? Or will Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts make strong enough cases by leading their teams to victory?
Here are the odds and best bets regarding this year’s Super Bowl MVP award:
Super Bowl MVP Odds: Who Are The Favorites & Long Shots?
(odds provided by DraftKings)
The Quarterbacks
Patrick Mahomes (+120)
Jalen Hurts (+350)
Patrick Mahomes is obviously the odds-on favorite to take home the award. The quarterback of the winning team has been named the MVP in well over half of all Super Bowls, and the Chiefs are favored in the game overall. Mahomes has taken home the hardware three times already, and would be just one behind Tom Brady for the most ever. His designation comes in at +120.
Jalen Hurts could provide solid value at +350, though. The Eagles QB contributed four total touchdowns when the teams last met in the big game, and would have won MVP had it not been for the late game heroics of Mahomes. He is listed third on the odds board overall, and would turn a $100 bet into $350 if he won.
In A Category Of His Own
Saquon Barkley (+260)
The last time a running back took home the MVP award was 27 years ago. But if there were ever a player to buck that trend, it would be Saquon Barkley.
The first-year Eagle has been arguably the biggest key to Philadelphia’s success this year, finishing with the 8th most rushing yards in NFL history. He’s run rampant during the current playoff run, rushing for 442 yards and 5 touchdowns in three games. His betting line of +260 puts him second on the odds board.
Other Offensive Players
Travis Kelce +1500
Xavier Worthy +2800
AJ Brown +3500
Kareem Hunt +6000
DeVonta Smith +6500
The real betting value lies in the skill position players other than Barkley. Travis Kelce would likely have to have his best game of the season to win the award, but he is the Chiefs’ player with the second-lowest odds at +1500. The Eagles are anything but a pass-happy team, but their wide receivers have long shot odds at winning Super Bowl MVP, with AJ Brown at +3500 and DeVonta Smith all the way back at +6500.
Defensive Players & Other Long Shots
Chris Jones +6000
Jalen Carter +7000
Marquise Brown +13000
Isiah Pacheco +13000
Harrison Butker +20000
Defensive players have won 10 Super Bowl MVP awards, better than 1 in every 6. The two best defensive players from each side are on the front line, and could garner attention for the hardware should they rack up a couple of sacks and force fumbles.
Isiah Pacheco hasn’t been featured much in the Chiefs’ offense, but could find himself in MVP consideration if he happens to score a couple of touchdowns. If you think that a low-scoring, field goal kicking affair is in order, you can turn $100 bet into a cool $20,000.
