Seahawks Are Favored To Repeat As Champions
It’s no surprise to see the Seahawks at the top of the board.
Fresh off their second championship in franchise history, Mike Macdonald’s “Dark Side Defense” looked historically elite against New England.
With Sam Darnold silencing his critics and a young core of playmakers at key skill positions, the Seahawks are the team to beat.
Rams, Ravens, and Bills Are Top Contenders
Despite losing in the NFC Championship Game, the Rams looked the part of a Super Bowl contender.
Los Angeles received a massive boost with reigning league MVP Matthew Stafford announcing his return for the 2026 season. With Stafford under center and stars like Puka Nacua, Davante Adams, and Kyren Williams in the mix, the Rams are primed for a run on their home turf in 2027.
Behind the NFC West duo sits a familiar group of contenders.
The Ravens (+1200) and Bills (+1200) headline the AFC’s best, two franchises built around elite quarterbacks and annual double-digit win floors.
Baltimore’s case is simple: as long as Lamar Jackson is in his prime and the front office keeps hitting on mid-round defenders, the Ravens will live in the Super Bowl conversation.
Buffalo’s path is more emotional — another year of “almost,” another year of Josh Allen brilliance needing one more complementary piece.
Middle of the Pack is Crowded
The most intriguing tier belongs to the cluster of teams at +1400 to +1600: Green Bay Packers, L.A. Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles, Detroit Lions, New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers.
Each has a plausible championship narrative and at least one glaring question.
- Philadelphia (+1400) remains loaded in the trenches, though coordinator turnover is starting to take a toll on the Eagles success.
- Los Angeles (+1600) struggled to keep QB Justin Herbert upright after an injury to left tackle Joe Alt, but the addition of offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel could put the Chargers over the top.
- Detroit (+1600) has the culture and offensive firepower but must prove its defense can survive in December and January.
- San Francisco (+1600) is built like a Super Bowl contender but the 49ers can’t seem to stay healthy.
- New England (+1600) is the wild card. Can Drake Maye build on his breakout season or did Mike Vrabel’s squad simply benefit from a soft schedule?
High Risk, High Reward Longshots
At this point, no one can be counted out, especially after Super Bowl LX featured two of the most unlikely teams in the Big Game. Seattle’s +6000 run should give every team hope that contention is right around the corner.
There are plenty of options further down the list:
- Houston Texans (+2200): After a strong 12-5 regular season in 2025, C.J. Stroud and company remain a dangerous dark horse. If he can take a step forward in his development under center, Houston has the type of defense that can win it all.
- Cincinnati Bengals (+2500): If Joe Burrow can stay healthy, these odds will look like a steal by mid-season, especially with the Steelers and Ravens facing uncertainty under new leadership.
- Washington Commanders (+4500): After a frustrating 5-12 season riddled with injuries, a healthy Jayden Daniels and nearly $100 million in cap space could put Washington back in the mix.
