The Titans announced they are releasing Landry after seven seasons.
By cutting Landry, Tennessee saves $10.9 million in cap space. That figure increases to over $17 million if the Titans designated Landry as a post-June 1 move.
Last month, the Titans granted Landry permission to seek a trade. However, no offers ever came through, leading the Titans to cut Landry.
The Titans selected Landry in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Landry was named to the Pro Bowl in 2021 after a career-high of 12 sacks.
Landry has nine straight sacks in three consecutive seasons, including nine in 2024. He played the highest percentage of defensive snaps (83.1%) for the Titans’ linebackers.
After signing a five-year, $87 million contract during the 2022 offseason, Landry suffered a season-ending ACL injury during the summer.
The Titans own the No. 1 pick and have spoken with Penn State defensive end Abdul Carter.
