Tyreek Hill Back At Dolphins Facilities On Friday After Knee Surgery

Tyreek Hill won’t see the playing field for the rest of the season, but that isn’t keeping him away from the Miami Dolphins facilities.

Tyreek Hill Was Back At Dolphins Facilities On Friday

During his media availability session on Friday, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel gave an update on Hill’s status following Monday’s gruesome injury. He said that the wide receiver was in good spirits after his surgery on Tuesday, and that he is out of the hospital.

Apparently, Hill even attended a team meeting on Friday. “He made sure that the guys were continuing to stay motivated,” McDaniel said, “and have complementary football with 11 players playing as one.”

Tyreek Hill and the Dolphins suffered a tough blow during Monday night’s home game against the New York Jets. Early in the third quarter, Hill caught a pass along the sideline and was rolled up on awkwardly. Cameras showed his leg twisted in an unconventional way, and it was immediately apparent that the injury would be a serious one.

The leg was placed into an air cast, and Hill was taken off of the field on the back of a medical cart. He appeared to be in good spirits, judging from both his on-field reaction and the images and videos seen in the hours following the game.

Officially, Hill was diagnosed with a dislocated left knee. He tore multiple crucial ligaments, including his ACL.

The injury makes it likely that Tyreek Hill has played his final game in a Dolphins uniform. There were already rumors and trade talks surrounding the polarizing wide receiver dating back to last season, and it might have been his last year in Miami even if there was no injury sustained. But given his contract and his advancing age and skill set, it is likely that both sides go their opposite ways when next offseason rolls around.

The Dolphins wound up winning the game against the Jets, marking their first victory of the season. They will take on the Carolina Panthers in Week 5.
