UFC Saudi Arabia Weigh-Ins: Adesanya and Imavov Set for Middleweight Showdown in Saudi Arabia

The stage is officially set for UFC Fight Night 250 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as all but one fighter successfully made weight during Friday’s official weigh-ins. The event, headlined by a high-stakes middleweight clash between former champion Israel Adesanya and rising contender Nassourdine Imavov, promises to deliver fireworks at the ANB Arena on Saturday. With a card stacked with intriguing matchups, including a co-main event featuring Shara Magomedov and Michael “Venom” Page, fans are eagerly anticipating the UFC’s latest venture into the Middle East.
Adesanya vs. Imavov: A Crucial Test for Both Fighters
Israel Adesanya (24-4 MMA, 13-4 UFC) is stepping into the Octagon for the first time since losing his middleweight title to Sean Strickland at UFC 293. The former champion is looking to reassert himself as a top contender in the division, and a victory over Nassourdine Imavov (15-4 MMA, 7-2 UFC) could be the first step toward reclaiming his throne. Adesanya weighed in at an even 185 pounds, looking sharp and focused as he prepares to face one of the division’s most well-rounded fighters.

Imavov, who also came in at 185 pounds, is riding high after a dominant decision win over Kelvin Gastelum last year. Known for his striking precision and grappling acumen, Imavov represents a significant challenge for Adesanya. A win over a former champion like “The Last Stylebender” would catapult the Frenchman into title contention and solidify his status as one of the middleweight division’s elite.
This main event is more than just another fight; it’s a pivotal moment for both athletes. For Adesanya, it’s about redemption and proving he still belongs among the sport’s best. For Imavov, it’s an opportunity to announce himself as a legitimate title threat on one of the biggest stages of his career.
Co-Main Event Spotlight: Magomedov vs. Page
The co-main event features an explosive middleweight bout between undefeated Russian sensation Shara Magomedov (15-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) and former Bellator standout Michael “Venom” Page (22-3 MMA, 1-1 UFC). Magomedov tipped the scales at 185 pounds, while Page came in slightly heavier at 185.5 pounds.

Magomedov has been making waves in the UFC with his unblemished record and dynamic striking style. His ability to mix unpredictable techniques with relentless pressure has made him one of the most exciting prospects in the division. However, he faces perhaps his toughest test yet in Page, whose unorthodox striking and knockout power have earned him worldwide recognition.
Page, who made his UFC debut last year after a storied career in Bellator, is looking to bounce back from a controversial split-decision loss to Sean Brady. A win over Magomedov would not only re-establish his momentum but also position him as a serious contender in the UFC’s stacked middleweight division.
Weigh-In Results: One Missed Weight on an Otherwise Flawless Day
While most fighters hit their marks without issue, Lucas Alexander was the lone competitor to miss weight. The featherweight came in at 148.5 pounds—2.5 pounds over the limit—for his bout against promotional newcomer Bogdan Grad (145.5). Alexander will face a fine of 30% for missing weight but will still compete on Saturday’s preliminary card.
The rest of the fighters on the card successfully made weight, including heavyweight contenders Sergei Pavlovich (249) and Jairzinho Rozenstruik (252), who will square off in what promises to be a hard-hitting clash on the main card.
Other notable weigh-in results include Said Nurmagomedov (135.5) and Vinicius Oliveira (135) making weight for their bantamweight bout, as well as lightweight contenders Mike Davis (155.5) and Fares Ziam (156) hitting their marks ahead of their matchup.
