Emma Raducanu is set to open her 2026 season representing Great Britain at the United Cup.
She will take the court on January 4 in Great Britain’s second match against Japan.
Facing Naomi Osaka, longtime Nike athlete who has custom designed tennis kits, tennis fans will finally confirm if the offseason rumors are true.
Many believe and are reporting that Raducanu left Nike and will be sporting Uniqlo beginning in 2026.

If True, Emma Raducanu Joins Massive Nike Tennis Exodus
Nike Tennis used to be the “it” brand of tennis. While it still has top players such as Osaka, Aryna Sabalenka, Madison Keys, Amanda Anisimova, Qinwen Zheng, Paula Badosa, Alex Eala, Carlos Alcaraz, and Jannik Sinner, the number of players moving away from Nike tennis is growing.
In recent years, Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, and Jack Draper have left the brand behind.
We are still waiting for ATP World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz‘s custom Nike logo; it has been years in the making and was reportedly going to be revealed at the 2025 ATP Finals. (Alcaraz later refuted that reporting.)
Sabalenka has admitted that she is not getting custom kits for 2026 despite being WTA World No. 1.
It is a strange world at Nike tennis; one that I cannot understand.
With the top players still wearing it, it seems like the brand is not doing much to keep them engaged.
Raducanu’s departure from Nike would mark the first high profile WTA player to make the switch.
It is worth noting that no one in Raducanu’s camp has confirmed the rumor. She has not spoken about it either.
