The Next Gen ATP Finals will take place next month.
This is the competition of the best eight players in the world who are 20 years old or younger.
Brazilian Joao Fonseca is the defending champion. He defeated American Learner Tien in the final last year.
Fonseca, Tien, and Miami Open champion Jakub Mensik are expected to be in the draw this year.

Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are past champions; however no one has won back-to-back Next Gen ATP Finals titles.
Fonseca is aiming to be the first to do so.
Both Fonseca and Tien had successful seasons and could be in a collision course to meet again in the finals.
Fonseca Recently Had Lunch With Tennis Royalty
Joao Fonseca is trying to learn and absorb the game quickly.
He turned 19 in August and won two titles in 2025.
Fonseca recently was seen spending time with none other than Rafael Nadal.

Tien Had A Breakout Year
Speaking of tennis legends, Learner Tien‘s season improved after Michael Chang joined his team.

Tien, 20, won his first ATP title in 2025 and played his best tennis during the fall Asian swing.
Both Fonseca and Tien are now ranked within the Top 30 (Fonseca: 24 and Tien: 28).
Mensik, 20, who won the biggest title of the three players this year, the ATP 1000 Miami Open, by defeating Novak Djokovic, is currently ranked 19th. If he is healthy, he could stand in the way of a Fonseca-Tien final rematch.
The Next Gen ATP Finals will be played from December 17 to 21, 2025 at Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The Tennis Channel will air live coverage of the event.
