Women’s Final Four 2025: Paige Bueckers, Lauren Betts Lead Players To Watch This Weekend

The 2025 March Madness Women’s Final Four will tip off this weekend and some of the top players in the country will be showcasing their skills on the national stage. Future No. 1 overall WNBA Draft pick Paige Bueckers might be the best player in the Women’s Final Four, but there are several other players who fans should keep their eye on, including a pair of top recruits from the 2022 class. Let’s break down five key players to watch as the women’s college basketball season winds down.

Paige Bueckers — G, UConn

Through four NCAA Tournament games, Bueckers has shown why she’s the top overall pick in the WNBA Draft and a potential franchise-changing player for the Dallas Wings. Last year, Bueckers was in the conversation with Caitlin Clark for the best women’s college basketball player and she’s only gotten more efficient in her senior season. She averaged 20.1 points per game for the season and increased her scoring output to a whopping 29.0 points per game on 58% shooting from 3-point range during March Madness.

Lauren Betts — C, UCLA

The former No. 1 overall recruit in the 2022 class, Lauren Betts has found a home at UCLA after transferring from Stanford. She’s averaged nearly 20 points and 10 rebounds for the season but it’s her defense during the NCAA Tournament that has turned heads. Over the past two games, Betts has proven her worth as a rim defender, holding opponents to 17% shooting on contests, including 2-of-17 from inside the paint in the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight. She also put up back-to-back 30-point double-doubles, proving that

Chloe Kitts — F, South Carolina

Chloe Kitts might not have big-time stats compared to other players on the list, but she’s effectively become Dawn Staley’s most reliable player. Kitts has scored in double-figures for nine straight games and has been a force on the glass, racking up five double-doubles during that span. She built on her success during the SEC Tournament, where she won the MVP award, by becoming South Carolina’s leading scorer and rebounder during its run to the Final Four (12.3 PPG, 8.0 RPG). Kitts also had a triple-double earlier this year.

Madison Booker — G/F, Texas

Madison Booker is among the most versatile players left in Women’s March Madness. The 6-foot-1 sophomore has the size and athleticism to get the job done on both ends of the floor. Booker has scored at least 17 points in every NCAA Tournament game while showcasing her ability to defend smaller guards and battle on the glass against taller players.

Honorable Mention: Kiki Rice — G, UCLA

The No. 2 recruit in the 2022 class, Rice is starting to establish herself among the elite point guards in the women’s game. She’s posted at least seven assists in each of her four March Madness games this season and teammates are shooting a blistering 69% when she passes them the ball. Rice has also improved as a shooter and it’s paying dividends during the NCAA Tournament, where she has shot 50% from 3-point range on 3.5 attempts per game.
