The Wimbledon warmup tournaments are concluding for the WTA players on Saturday, and there are two excellent finals on tap featuring Maya Joint vs. Alex Eala at the Lexus Eastbourne Open and Jessica Pegula vs. Iga Swiatek at the Bad Homburg Open.
Maya Joint vs. Alex Eala
Maya Joint, 19, earned her maiden WTA title at Rabat a few weeks ago. She is doing double duty playing in both the Easbourne singles and doubles finals (with Hsieh Su-wei) on Saturday.
Joint faces Alex Eala of the Philippines who rose to stardom after her 2025 Miami Open run. Eala is the first Filipina to play in a WTA final. Eala, 20, trained at the Rafael Nadal Academy.
This will be the first career meeting for Maya Joint and Alex Eala. The WTA 250 Lexus Eastbourne Open final will host the youngest players since 1981.

Jessica Pegula vs. Iga Swiatek
American Jessica Pegula and Polish former World No. 1 Iga Swiatek will face off at the WTA 500 Bad Homburg Open final on Saturday. Pegula and Swiatek have played ten previous times with Swiatek winning six of the ten matches. They have never played each other in a grass court match.
Pegula has two WTA titles this year: on the green clay at the Charleston Open and the hardcourts at the Austin Open. Iga Swiatek is looking for her first title of the year on a surface she has the least success with.
Swiatek admitted after her semifinal win over 2024 Wimbledon finalist Jasmine Paolini that she did not expect to win the match. It is clear that Swiatek is learning the become more competitive on grass.
Pegula has one grass court WTA title and eight total in her career.
Swiatek is about to play in her first grass court WTA final.

The odds are with Pegula; however, it is hard to pick against the five-time Grand Slam champion who has 22 WTA title wins already, and she is only 24.
