Yusuf Dikec is a 51-year-old pistol shooter who competed for Turkey in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
During the competition, Dikec went viral for his nonchalant shooting stance. While many shooters wear specialized lenses or headphones, Dikec wears glasses, puts his hand in his pocket, and points his pistol at the target.
The simplistic approach worked, as Dikec and Sevval Ilayda Tarhan won the silver medal in mixed team 10-meter air pistol shooting. The silver marks Turkey’s first-ever medal in Olympic shooting.
