The Conor McGregor next fight is a hot topic of conversation, with many fans believing the Irishman might never fight again.
Read on to find out potential options for McGregor’s next fight, if he does choose to return to the UFC in 2026 and beyond.
Conor McGregor Next Fight: Could McGregor Fight On Donald Trump’s Rumoured White House UFC Card?
Conor McGregor is widely regarded as the man who transcended the sport of MMA. The Irishman is by far and away the most famous UFC fighter of all time, not to mention the richest and the most recognisable too.
‘Notorious’ also tops the list of the most followed UFC fighters and is also the single highest-paid fighter in UFC history by quite some margin. It could be argued that McGregor is actually bigger than the UFC itself.
Conor McGregor’s record is an impressive 22-6, which consists of 19 knockout victories, one submission and two decision wins. The 37-year-old also made history as the first ever UFC double champion, holding the UFC Featherweight Title and UFC Lightweight Title simultaneously for a brief period.
UFC fans last saw Conor McGregor in action way back in July 2021, where he lost to champion Dustin Poirier in their trilogy bout. The fight was stopped due to the Irishman breaking his leg, and MMA fans haven’t seen their hero back in action ever since.
UFC President Dana White will be hoping to see ‘Notorious’ back inside the octagon in 2026, but whether this actually happens or not remains to be seen. Conor McGregor’s controversies and issues outside of the octagon continue to mount up, leaving a return to action somewhat doubtful.
However, MMA fans are now hopeful they could see the Irishman back in 2026. This comes after President Donald Trump announced on July 4th that he plans on staging a UFC card within the grounds of The White House in 2026. If he does, then who better to have on it than ‘Notorious’ himself.
McGregor remains the biggest draw in the UFC, but whether or not he returns is another question. Also, who would Conor McGregor’s next fight actually be against?

Conor McGregor Eyes Michael Chandler Fight At The White House In 2026
If he does indeed return on The White House UFC card next year, Conor McGregor’s next fight could well be a showdown with Michael Chandler.
There has been talk of a potential McGregor vs Chandler fight for several years now, but we are still yet to get it. Both men are well past their best, with Chandler having lost his last three contests too. However, it’s still a huge fight and one the best UFC betting sites would find tricky to pick a favourite in.
Outside of a Chandler match-up, it’s tricky to pinpoint one name who ‘Notorious’ should fight, not to mention his outside of the cage problems right now having been charged with sexual assault in a civil court.
The only place where disputes truly get settled.

If McGregor sorts himself out outside of the octagon once and for all and is serious about a return, then almost every fighter would want a piece of the Irishman. Partly because he generates more money than any other fighter, and also because many fans perceive McGregor to be well past his prime.
A Nate Diaz trilogy makes sense, but that would involved Diaz having to return to the UFC having not fought in the organisation himself since September 2022. All in all, the Chandler fight makes the most sense for the UFC White House card in 2026.
Time will tell what Conor McGregor’s next move is, and who indeed his next fight will be against, if at all. Be sure to claim the various combat sports betting offers and free bet deals available on the SportsCasting site ahead of Conor McGregor’s next fight.
