Get to know Peter Addison betterIan Bruce became interested in betting in 1987, when he landed a winning Yankee on his first attempt. That stroke of luck (and he admits that's exactly what it was) sparked an interest in understanding the strategies behind successful wagers. Over the years, he has become one of the UK's most prolific writers on betting and gaming, and is best known for his systematic approach to winning. Ian's career in the industry now spans over three decades. His favorite betting method is Dutching because, in his words, "It's the one I win with more often than not."

Five of the Best UFC Betting Sites in Detail
We entered the octagon with the best ten, and now we will whittle down the contenders to the best of the best. Here are concise reviews of the five most impressive sites that allow you to bet on UFC markets.
1. Bet365 – Our Number One Pick Among the Top UFC Betting Sites
It wasn’t a tough decision to appoint bet365 as the leader among UFC and MMA betting sites. While most betting sites give nothing more than ‘pick the winner’ bets for UFC bouts, we’re pleased to report that bet365 goes further. If you want to place more exotic bets when it comes to betting on the UFC and all MMA bouts in general, bet365 is top among betting sites for UFC and MMA markets.
The range of betting markets per bout at bet365 really depends upon the popularity of the match-up, so don’t expect many betting opportunities for match-ups that are low down on the card. For the big match ups though, you can bet on the winner, method of victory, round of victory and much more. If you want to be inventive with your UFC betting, then bet365 is the MMA betting site you’ll want to use.
What We Like:
- Full coverage of all the leading UFC bouts
- More market coverage than most other sites
- Bet on method of victory, number of rounds and more
Room for Improvement:
- Less market depth for match-ups low on the card
2. 10bet – Bet on the Top UFC Bouts and Fight Nights
While 10bet has been operating globally for almost two decades, it has only had its own UKGC licence since 2015. We have always liked 10bet, and we think it ought to be more popular as a betting site than it currently is. What we like most about it is its clear and concise user interface. This makes placing bets, including UFC and MMA bets, so easy that you could probably train your cat to do it.
When it comes to MMA and UFC betting overall, 10bet has more than enough going for it, so it easily makes it onto our top list of the best UFC betting sites. Having said that, we would like to see more betting options for MMA betting than the site currently provides. You can, however, easily place bets up to two months in advance for all the leading UFC and MMA events.
What We Like:
- Very decent coverage of UFC bouts
- Options beyond bout winners
- The betting site/app interface is one of the best
Room for Improvement:
- We’d like to see an increase in MMA and UFC betting options
3. Luckster – Wager on All UFC Main Cards and Preliminary Bouts
On UFC fight nights and main events, the card is usually split into two sections – preliminary bouts and main bouts. As most interest among UFC fans and bettors will be for the main bouts, many betting sites neglect to offer betting options for the preliminaries. Happily, this is not the case at Luckster, as full coverage of the complete card is offered for all UFC nights. Luckster is a site that is well-known for the extent of its sporting events covered, with its software provided by sports betting global leader AspireGlobal.
Luckster’s main coverage of MMA is for the UFC, but other MMA events are covered, too. These include Bellator (a US-based MMA organisation considered second in importance to the UFC), the PFL (Professional Fighters League, also US-based), the EFC (Extreme Fighting Championship, an MMA promotional company set up in South Africa in 2009), and KSW (an MMA promotional organisation established in Poland).
What We Like:
- Plenty of global scope for dedicated MMA fans
- Coverage of UFC, Bellator, PHL, EFC and KSW
- Comprehensive betting site, no matter the sport!
Room for Improvement:
- Markets per event are actually limited
4. BetUK – One of the Top Sites for UFC Live Betting
UFC is a fast-paced sport, which is one of the reasons it is so popular. Unfortunately, that means live betting on UFC can be difficult. No matter how a fight is progressing, all it takes is one well-timed punch or kick to change the balance of the bout completely. Will you have time to adjust your bets before your fighter is the victor or plunges to the floor? It’s probably better to wait until the breaks between rounds before you change your bet or add additional ones.
If you are interested in UFC live betting then you need a very responsive betting site where you can see prices in an instant and get your bets on just as quickly. BetUK, we feel, is best for UFC live betting. In-play betting gets its own section at BetUK, and everything is updated in real-time every three seconds or so, which is amazing! You can’t follow the bouts via live streaming here (nor can you at any other UK betting site), but you can keep an eye on the prices as you watch a bout elsewhere and get your bets on.
What We Like:
- Full coverage of all UFC and Bellator bouts
- Coverage of Glory, too – a UK kickboxing promotion
- The very best for live UFC betting
Room for Improvement:
- No live streaming of UFC/MMA, as is the norm
5. Betfred – A Leading UK Betting Site with Plenty of MMA Markets
You’re probably going to be a little surprised that a traditional bookie such as Betfred is on our top UFC betting sites list. Betfred, of course, is more associated with horse racing betting and football than it is with any form of combat sport (except, perhaps, boxing), so what’s it doing covering something as contemporary as UFC or MMA? Well, Betfred is a superb all-rounder when it comes to sports betting, so it’s actually not that much of a surprise that UFC has coverage at the site.
No UK sports betting sites provide live streaming of UFC bouts (or any MMA bout) due to media deals signed with broadcasters, but one thing we like about Betfred is that the site will tell you where any televised bout can be viewed. As you will discover later, this is usually via TNT Sports or DAZN. It’s a nice feature that Betfred voluntarily provides, but their UFC coverage is let down by the scope, as betting options are only available for bouts scheduled to take place in the immediate future.
What We Like:
- Mainly covers UFC, and full cards, too
- Tells you where bouts are available for streaming
- Has exotic markets on all the biggest bouts
Room for Improvement:
- UFC betting calendar does not stretch too far into the future
Best Online UFC Betting Sites Compared
If you want a concise summary of what our ten best UFC betting sites can offer you in terms of precise features, you got it. Take a look at the table below and be educated.

The most popular bet with UFC bouts is to pick the winner, but there is far more that you can bet on when it comes to UFC betting beyond selecting the victorious fighter. We have picked out the most popular UFC betting online markets for you to consider when you are picking out your UFC wagers.
Fight WinnerMethod of VictoryMethod of Victory Double ChanceRound BettingTotal RoundsMethod and Round CombinationFight to Go the DistanceFight Winner
This is the easiest UFC betting wager of them all. Two fighters enter the octagon, but only one will emerge victorious. Your task is to simply decide which one.
Method of Victory
There are a few ways a UFC betting bout can end. To make betting easier, bookies group the different methods of victory into three groups. The first group is a knockout or technical knockout (when the referee thinks it is unsafe for a fighter to continue). The second is a submission, and the third is by the judges’ decision. With this bet, you usually have to select which fighter you think will win, too.
Method of Victory Double Chance
This bet allows you to eliminate one of the ‘method of victory’ groups mentioned above. You can choose two of the three possible methods of victory, plus the winning fighter. Your bet only loses if the other fighter wins or if your chosen fighter wins, but not by a method of victory you have covered.
Round Betting
This bet allows you to select the winning fighter plus the round you think they will win the bout in. For the best UFC odds, you can select the specific round. Many UFC betting sites, though, will allow you to bet on rounds in groups, such as 1 and 2, 3 and 4, or 5. This, of course, depends on the number of rounds in the bout, as most regular bouts have three, but championship and fight-night bouts have five.
Total Rounds
With this wager, you are betting on the length of the bout, commonly on an over/under basis. The most common over/under totals offered are over/under 1.5 rounds and over/under 2.5 rounds. The MMA odds and the over/under options, of course, depend on the number of rounds the bout is scheduled to last.
Method and Round Combination
If you consider yourself a real UFC betting expert, then you might consider this bet. Here, you are placing a treble – picking out the fighter whom you think is going to win, the method of victory and the round in which you think victory is going to be achieved. All three fight predictions must be correct else your method and round combination bet will be a losing one.
Fight to Go the Distance
If you think two fighting competitors are equally matched, you might think it will take the judges’ decision to separate them. If this is the case, you can bet on the fight to go the distance on a yes/no basis. Of course, if you think the fight is unlikely to go all the way, you can bet on that, too.
What We Expect from the Best UFC Bookmakers
Despite its increasing popularity in the UK, the betting options for UFC and most MMA events at UK bookmakers cannot hold a candle to other sports, especially football and horse racing. This is why we consider the amount of coverage of UFC bouts to be the key factor when we are evaluating UFC betting sites. Not only is it important that UFC betting sites cover all the leading bouts, but it’s also crucial they have a suitable number of betting options available per bout. We also look at any special offers or promotions offered that are suitable for use in UFC and other MMA markets.
Naturally, we also examine the site’s overall suitability as a betting site, covering all kinds of betting options and promotions, the number of markets, betting site payment methods available, support options, and anything else important we can think of. You can read more about our review approach in How We Rank Gambling Sites.
Best UFC Betting Offers
UFC betting offers are, sadly, few and far between, but you can use many ‘generic’ betting offers at UK sports betting sites to bet on your favourite combat sport. Below are details about a few of them.
Welcome Offers
Practically all betting site welcome offers can be used on UFC and MMA bouts. Welcome offers usually come in the form of a free bet – bet X amount to get a free bet of the same value. Free bets can be used as a stake, but they are never returned to the bettor and can never be withdrawn, even if they are used in a winning bet. You may also get a matched deposit bonus, so if you deposit X amount you will get the same in bonus cash. Bonus cash, like free bet money, can only be used for betting and can’t be withdrawn.
Some sites are now also offering cashback on losses. A 10% cashback deal, for example, will give you 10% of your losses back, albeit usually as bonus money.
Enhanced Odds
You might occasionally find enhanced odds deals on UFC and MMA matchups, but they are rarely offered. With enhanced odds, you get better odds than the bookmaker’s odds if you place a specific bet. You might get them for headline bouts. Some UFC betting sites will pay any winnings from enhanced odds deals in full, while others will pay what you win in excess of the ‘normal’ odds as bonus cash.
Acca Boosts and Acca Insurance
You might want to place a UFC acca by stringing together several bout bets in a single wager. Any winnings from the first bet become the stake for the second, and so on down the chain. All bets in your acca have to win. Otherwise, your UFC betting acca will return nothing.
Most sites will boost acca winnings. This means you get a percentage boost, and the more legs your acca has, the bigger the boost will be. Acca insurance is a similar deal where your acca stake is returned as a free bet should your acca fail by a single leg.
UFC Betting Events to Note
The UFC is not strictly a sports competition or even a sport – it’s a company. It was created in 1993, inspired by the success of wrestling in the US via the WWE. It was hoped that it would bring the same kind of fame and fortune to MMA fighters as the WWE had brought to wrestlers. Unlike the WWE, though, which at times is little more than choreography bordering on pantomime, the UFC is about the best and most dedicated fighters winning.
Unlike other sports, UFC events are organised throughout the year with no fixed ‘season’. Below are details of the main UFC betting events you should be following.
UFC Main Events
The first UFC events began with UFC 1 in 1993. Since then, they have become known as “main events” so that they are not confused with other events. Each main event has been numbered sequentially since then, with UFC 310 taking place in December 2024. UFC Main Events are organised—almost always in the US—every four weeks or so.
During the event, several championship bouts will take place at different weight levels. One fight will be classed as the biggest and will end the card. For example, for UFC 306, the big fight was between Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili at bantamweight.
Each UFC Main Event will have around a dozen or so bouts at various weights, both men’s and women’s.
UFC Fight Nights
Fight nights were brought in by the UFC to run in tandem with main events. They were introduced in 2005 as a result of the UFC’s continuing success. Each fight night has a number of events, but they are considered a level down from UFC Main Events.
UFC Fight Nights typically fill the gaps between UFC Main Events and can occur weekly, although they never take place on the same evenings as Main Events. Some fight nights are not officially called fight nights but instead are named after the channel they are being broadcast via, such as ‘UFC on ESPN’ or ‘UFC on ABC’.
Like Main Events, Fight Nights have five or six preliminary card bouts and five or six main card bouts culminating in the most illustrious fight of the night.
Oktagon MMA
Oktagon MMA has nothing to do with the UFC and is a completely different organisation headquartered in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. MMA is very popular in the Czech Republic and surrounding nations, and so Oktagon was set up as a way of showcasing the talents of many of the leading MMA fighters in that area. The organisation has since expanded into countries such as Germany and Italy and is now by far the leading MMA organisation in Europe.
Some betting sites offer opportunities to bet on Oktagon MMA matches, but they are certainly not as numerous as those providing UFC betting opportunities.
Live UFC Betting and Streaming
You can live bet on UFC, but your opportunities will be thwarted by the brevity of the bouts! In addition, there are not that many live markets in the traditional sense when it comes to UFC. The main markets for UFC live betting are the same as pre-match betting, although the prices will change depending on what is happening within the octagon.
Because UFC bouts can be so brutal, either fighter’s status can be turned head-over-heels in a split second. It can take just a well-timed and accurate kick or punch to bamboozle a dominant fighter and spin the advantage in the opposite direction. Because of this, betting sites constantly adjust their odds to accurately reflect the chances of either fighter winning (and other markets) second-by-second.
However, you can sometimes skew the odds in your favour if you are monitoring the fight yourself and the odds are not updating speedily enough. This can make live UFC betting extremely exciting and, if you nail down the process, profitable!
Is live streaming of UFC bouts available at betting sites? That’s a question with an easy answer – no! UFC is a production company, not a sport, and as a company, the UFC want to make as much money as possible. They are not about to allow their bouts to be broadcast for free at betting sites, and betting sites cannot afford the fees that UFC would charge them (it’s the same for EPL football, for example). UFC is streamed online in the UK via ‘UFC Fight Pass’, for which you must pay a subscription fee. TNT also broadcasts the main UFC bouts, while DAZN has the streaming rights to Oktagon MMA.
UFC Betting Sites on Mobile Devices
You should be able to bet on UFC via your phone or tablet as easily as you would from your laptop or desktop computer. All the leading betting sites have mobile apps you can download and install on your devices for both iOS and Android. Any time you want to make a UFC bet or perform any function connected with your account, it’s easy to do so via UFC betting apps.
If you’re not a fan of crowding your mobile devices with apps, you can simply pop open your favourite mobile internet browser and navigate to the site you want to use as you would on your laptop or PC. The site software will recognise you are using a device with a smaller screen than normal and re-arrange itself accordingly.
UFC betting apps are ideal to use, and for UFC or MMA live betting in particular. If you are watching and/or streaming a fight, you can have your UFC betting app open on your phone or tablet, poised to place your bets. If you sense a change in momentum during a bout, you can use UFC betting apps to place your in-play bets with devastating speed.
UFC Betting Tips to Improve Your Chances
If you are new to either the UFC or UFC betting then you may be wondering what’s the best policy when it comes to making a wager. To point you in the right direction, here are three top betting tips for punch-ups in the octagon.
Who is Fighting Who?
UFC is an MMA competition, meaning fighters from all kinds of martial arts disciplines compete against each other. Heavy, strong wrestlers do tend to dominate bouts, as many styles (muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu and karate) depend on a fighter maintaining a distance from their opponent. Once grappled, it can be difficult for a non-wrestler to gain any advantage. Boxers such as Conor McGregor, though, can dominate non-boxers, while martial arts experts with deadly kicks can also be lethal.Tipping the Scales?
The weigh-in is crucial to MMA fighting as it determines which fighters can compete against each other. Many fighters will reduce liquids and calorie intake prior to a weigh-in in tandem with loads of cardio in order to qualify for a lower weight. As they are not losing muscle mass, they can then up their fluid and carbs intake to return to their target weight almost instantly. They will then have an advantage over fighters who are qualifying at their true weight.Young Guns, Having Some Fun
Fighting in the octagon is physically exhausting, which is why younger fighters tend to dominate experienced ones unless it’s an experienced fighter who is an absolute beast. Younger fighters can continually dance around the ring as they attempt to tire out their opponents. Looking for a match-up where a young kickboxer is up against a wrestler or boxer over 30 can pay dividends if you back youth.
