The Premier League has revealed when the fixtures will be released for next season, with some key dates already announced.
When will the 2025/26 Premier League fixtures be revealed?
The Premier League has confirmed that the 2025/26 fixture list will be released on June 18th, with the next campaign kicking off in the second week of August as usual.
Although the Club World Cup isn’t set to finish until the 13th of July, the Premier League will get underway on the weekend of Saturday 16 August 2025.
Another key date that has already been confirmed by the league is the final game of the season which is scheduled to take place on Sunday May 24th.
There has been complaints over fixture congestion from various players and managers over the past two years but the league has stood by its rule of 60 hours minimum between games.
The Premier league said: “The schedule continues to allow more rest time for players over the festive match-round period, with no two rounds taking place within 60 hours of each other. This is in keeping with commitments made to clubs to address the congested Christmas and New Year schedule.”
When does the Club World Cup finish?
The Club World Cup gets underway this summer with 32 clubs from across the globe taking part in the inaugural tournament.
FIFA’s newest competition begins on the 14th of June and a month later the final will be played in New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium on July 13th.
As the new season is set to kick off on the 16th of August, that gives any Premier League players in the final just under four weeks break before the return of domestic football in England.
With no international tournaments to play this year, only players competing in the new Club World Cup will have the disadvantage of very little rest ahead of the 2025/26 season.
