Chelsea eased to Club World Cup glory this summer and four of their stars have been recognised for their performances with a spot in the official team of the tournament.
There was no doubting Chelsea’s superiority in the Club World Cup and another impressive win in the final against PSG sealed what has been a perfect summer for the Blues.
Enzo Maresca’s team lifted the Conference League just under two months ago and his players have earned a well deserved rest following a busy season.
Four Chelsea players have been named in the Club World Cup team of the tournament, with Marc Cucurella, Enzo Fernandez, Pedro Neto and Cole Palmer all earning a place in the squad.
Fernandez and Palmer led the way for tournament assists so it was no surprise to see their names in the team.
Palmer was also on the scoresheet twice against PSG, proving once again that the Chelsea superstar has what it takes to lead his club in the biggest moments.

Cucurella also came up big in the final with a vital goal-saving interception while the score was still level at 0-0 and with 10 interceptions throughout the tournament, only Borussia Dortmund’s Ramy Bensebaini had more (12).
Pedro Neto scored two goals early in the group stage and came up clutch against Benfica in the last 16 with a crucial goal in extra time to send the Blues through.
After Chelsea’s incredible tournament, the club’s Premier League odds have been slashed in half for next season.

Club World Cup individual awards
- Best Player of the Tournament: Cole Palmer
- Top Goalscorer: Gonzalo García
- Best Young Player: Desire Doué
- Best Goalkeeper: Robert Sánchez
Two Chelsea players were presented with individual awards by Donald Trump after the Club World Cup final, as Palmer earned player of the tournament and Robert Sánchez claimed the best goalkeeper.
While there were four players tied for the Golden Boot this summer, Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Garcia took home the award with his one assist earning him the prize.
Angel Di Maria, Marcos Leonardo, and Serhou Guirassy lost out on the tiebreaker with four goals and no assists.
Desire Doué rounded off his breakout season with yet another award, as even though PSG were denied the Champions League and Club World Cup double, the 20-year-old was again named Best Young Player.
