Burnley and Leeds United meet at Turf Moor on Saturday as they hope to get their Premier League campaigns back on track.Ā
Burnley are currently in the relegation zone after scoring just four points in their previous seven matches.
Leeds United, on the other hand, are in 16th place with eight points to their name.
Burnley vs Leeds United: A Clash of Underperformers
Burnley, Leeds United, and Sunderland joined the English top-flight at the start of the 2025/26 Premier League season. While Sunderland had to qualify through play-offs, Burnley and Leeds secured automatic qualification via the league route.
Seven matches into the new season, the Black Cats have by far been the best of the promoted trio, scoring 11 points from nine matches (W 3, D 2, L 2).
Burnley, on the other hand, have struggled the most, having lost five of their seven matches (W 1, D 1). The Clarets have a goal difference of -8, and they are on a five-game winless run in the Premier League (D 1, L 4).
Interestingly, their last success came against Sunderland (2-0) at Turf Moor in August.

Leeds United narrowly pipped Burnley to the Championship title last season. Both teams finished on 100 points, but the Whites had a much superior goal difference (65 to 53).
This season, too, Leeds have fared better than Burnley, scoring eight points from seven games, double what Burnley have achieved.
Their recent form, however, is also quite concerning. Like Burnley, Leeds have also won just one of their last six games in the Premier League (D 3, L 2). The win (3-1) came away at bottom-ranked Wolverhampton Wanderers.

In their previous match, Daniel Farke’s men lost 2-1 to Tottenham Hotspur at Elland Road. Owing to Leeds United’s poor run of form, Premier League sack race odds suggest Farke’s job is under threat.
It is still early days, so table positioning is not as important. But both Burnley and Leeds United would be eager to get back to winning ways as soon as possible.
Burnley vs Leeds United Betting Tips
- Leeds United to Win ā 13/10
- Total Goals Over 1.5 ā 2/5
- Over 6.5 Corners ā 2/11
Leeds United to Win ā 13/10
Scott Parker turned Burnley into the best defensive unit in the Championship last season. Under his tutelage, Leeds conceded merely 16 goals in 46 matches in the Championship.
Parker has tried to implement the same system in the Premier League this season. However, the English top-flight sides have not struggled to score nearly as much.
The Clarets have already conceded 15 goals in the Premier League after playing just seven matches, only one goal fewer than they did in the entirety of last season.

Having scored seven Premier League goals, Leeds United do not have the best attack in the division, but Burnley’s hesitant defence could give them a few clear-cut goalscoring opportunities.
Additionally, Leeds United have a superior head-to-head record against Burnley. In their 63 meetings, Leeds have won 30 times, Burnley 19 times, while 14 games have ended all square. Lastly, Leeds United have only lost in one of their last six meetings with the Clarets (W 3, D 2).
Total Goals Over 1.5 ā 2/5
Burnley and Leeds United have both leaked goals this season. While the hosts have conceded 15, the away side have let in 11, suggesting there would be goals in this one.
Burnley have conceded at least one goal in their last seven games across competitions. In the Premier League, they have only kept one clean sheet. Leeds United, who have a slightly better defence, have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last four games. They conceded six goals in those four matches.
Neither team are likely to keep a clean sheet this Saturday.
Over 6.5 Corners ā 2/11
Neither Burnley nor Leeds United win too many corners. While the Clarets have had 21 corners (average of 3/game), the Whites have taken 28 (average of 4/game) across the 2025/26 Premier League season.
Both teams will see Saturday’s game as a way to turn their seasons around. So, we expect them to be more aggressive going forward and exceed their general corner quota.
