The ITV Racing schedule on Sunday sees the Berkshire Winter Millions card back at Windsor for day three of the meeting.
There will be FIVE races from the track on ITV Racing, that are spearheaded by Fleur De Lys Chase at 3pm as Protektorat looks to win the race for a season year.
They’ve also got the rescheduled Hampton Novices’ Chase that was lost at Warwick last weekend.
In addition, there will be two races being shown on ITV4 at Thurles in Ireland and two more at the tight turns of Fakenham.
So, don’t miss Andy Newton’s ITV Racing tips on the main races as he gives you his 1-2-3 best bets and key trends.

Windsor ITV Racing Tips: Sunday 18th January, 2026 🏇

1:20 Windsor – Hampton Novices’ Chase (Grade 2) (GBB Race) Cl1 (5yo+) 3m½f ITV4
Full marks to the BHA for getting last week’s cancelled Hampton Novices’ Chase included Sunday’s Windsor card.
It’s a solid renewal too, despite only six runners, with cases to be made for them all.
However, for me, despite being top-rated here Jeriko Du Reponet needs to brush up his jumping and might have eyes on a bigger prize at Cheltenham – wink, wink.
We can expect Moon Rocket and Doyen Quest to be up with the pace and can make bold bids.
While after not seemingly handling Sandown, Laurens Bay could bounce back. But this Snowden runner does have 10lbs+ to find with most of these on the ratings.
Cheekpieces are tried on Salver, who beat Doyen Quest at Sandown last month – but has since finished 4th in the Kauto Star Novices’ Chase at Kempton.
So, that leaves me with WADE OUT – who should relish this 3m 1/2f trip and also the soft ground.
He needed every yard of the 3m 1f at Cheltenham last time and does tend to run in snatches.
However, has no better man in the saddle to help motivate him than Sean Bowen.
Connections have also freshened him up with two months off and with Moon Rocket and Doyen Quest sure to go a good gallop out in front – this could just set things up for Wade Out.
🥇WADE OUT
🥈DOYEN QUEST
🥉MOON ROCKET
KEY STATS 📈
- Nicky Henderson and Dan Skelton have trained 4 of the last 7 winners (2 each)
- 7yolds have won seven of the last 10
- Four winning favourites in the last five
- The last 10 winners returned 4/1 or shorter
1:50 Windsor – Fitzdares Extra Places Every Day Great Park Handicap Chase (GBB Race) Cl2 (5yo+) 2m ITV4
Mighty Bandit (NR) and Highlands Legacy were first and second last time at Newbury – with Legacy now 2lbs better off for 1 3/4 lengths.
The O’Neill yard also does well with their chasers here at Windsor (33%) and having run the improving Mambonumberfive close the time before.
I’ll take HIGHLANDS LEGACY to reverse that form with the Bandit.
Sans Bruit is more of a spring Aintree horse for me. But can’t be totally ruled out off 135, with his last win off 139 (albeit with a 5lb claimer on).
The Skelton pair Mirabad and Harper’s Brook (NR) are also respected.
Especially the last-named with jockey Kielan Woods, who knows the horse well, back in the plate.
Plus, the last two winners carried 12st, so don’t be put off by Nells Son’s big burden.
However, at a price – the Evan Williams runner DR T J ECKLEBURG might be worth a small interest.
Yes, he’s out-of-form at the moment – but as a result is starting to look very well treated off 120.
His last win came off 125 last February at Chepstow, won’t mind the soft ground and get in with just 10-7 in weight.
Connections are also trying the first-time cheekpieces to see if that sparks him back to life.
But win, lose or draw here I think he’s a horse to get in the trackers as is sure to pop up again soon of this dropping mark.
🥇HIGHLANDS LEGACY
🥈NELLS SON
🥉DR T J ECKLEBURG
KEY STATS 📈
- Two winning favourites in the last three
- Last two winners carried 12st
- Jonjo and A J O’Neill have a 33% SR with their chasers here
2:25 Windsor – Weatherbys Racing Bank Handicap Hurdle (GBB Race) Cl2 (4yo+) 3m ITV4
Many chances again here.
Botox Has will love the ground and be hoping for even more rain.
And my pal on the Final Furlong podcast George Gorman tells me jockey Jude Fernandes (claims 10lbs) is a strong rider.
Lud’or will be popular after running third to French Ship last time at Newbury . However, is up another 3lbs and the worry for me is the longer trip.
Did he really see out the 2m4 1/2 last time and is now up to 3m?
Long Draw is certainly a capable but hasn’t really progressed as many thought this season.
Then, Nab Wood is the only recent winner in the field (Carlisle), but is up 6lbs for that.
Keable has decent form this season too – especially when beating Blue Carpet at Newbury in November.
While Emma Lavelle has a fair SR (33%) with her hurdlers here and runs Doughmore Bay and Royal Rambler.
Plus are in flying form at the moment with a 44% SR with recent runners (4-9) in recent days.
Take Sea and Boy Against The Field
But the two chanced here are TRANQUIL SEA and KAP BOY.
The former is a Dan Skelton runner that was second to C’Est Different two runs back at Market Rasen, but that form has been franked since with the winner going in again.
Then last time wasn’t disgraced when 6th (beaten only 4 3/4 lengths) at Cheltenham over this trip.
He gets in off the same mark, but connections have booked 7lb claimer Harry Aitkins this time.
Then Kap Boy will have Sean Bowen riding and looks the sort to improve now stepping up in trip.
He was third to Surrey Lord at Kempton last time over 2m5 but was staying on that day to suggest 3m with only 10-4 to carry will be right up his street.
Oh, and the last two winners were aged 7 – Kap Boy (and Long Draw) are the only two in the field.
I’ll take Tranquil Sea to make a splash and Kap Boy to become a man.
🥇KAP BOY
🥈TRANQUIL SEA
🥉KEABLE
KEY STATS 📈
- Both winners aged 7
- Trainer Emma Lavelle has a 33% SR with her hurdlers at the track
3:00 Windsor – Fitzdares Fleur De Lys Chase (GBB Race) Cl2 (5yo+) 2m6f ITV4
Matata won a handicap chase at this fixture last season and impressed last time to win at Cheltenham – and being the only last time out winner in the field has to be noted.
Resplendent Grey had Handstands just behind (3/4 lengths) at Carlisle back in November.
But with Grey actually 2lbs better off here is taken to uphold that form.
He does need to bounce back from a poor run in the Hennessy last time but has returned to form in the past and has had 50 days off to get over that last run.
However, on these terms and despite being aged 11 now – it’s going to be hard for them all to topple PROTEKTORAT.
This Skelton runner took this prize last year too and is also the top-rated in the field (165).
A win here and this will take his earnings over the £1m mark – with £85k on offer to the winner.
He’s had a wind op since his last run too and also gets weight from Handstands (8lbs) and Resplendent Grey (4lbs).
Plus won by 23 lengths in this race last year carrying 11-10 and now has 8lbs less with 11-2.
The Rat is the call to become a millionaire on Sunday.
🥇PROTEKTORAT
🥈RESPLENDENT GREY
🥉HANDSTANDS
KEY STATS 📈
- Protektorat won this race last year
3:35 Windsor – Fitzdares Personal Betting Service Stayers Handicap Chase (GBB Race) Cl3 (5yo+ 0-125) 3m4½f
Not been a good race for favourite backers – with none going in from the last six renewals.
Horses aged between 9-10 have done well though – winning four of the last six.
Which is a plus for Rockinastorm, Latenightrumble, De Legislator, Morfee, Gold Clermont and Hudson De Grugy.
Jupiter Des Bordes has done well this season but has shot up 13lbs as a result.
I thought he could have won the last day at Haydock. Only just getting out-gunned by the more experienced Egbert.
He’s up another pound here but had hit the frame in six of his eight chase starts (one win) and the step up in trip could eke out more.
Special John and Express Surprise get a big mention too as they both head here on three-timers.
However, a horse I’ve liked this season is HOLOKEA, from the Mickey Bowen yard.
He’s only had four starts over fences (one win) and was only just chinned last time at Cheltenham over 3m 1 1/2f.
There looks to be more to come and a 3lb rise for that last run looks fair to me – with the horse open to improvement.
I also think he’ll relish the step up in trip to 3m 4 1/2f here and James Bowen, who has won twice on him, takes over from brother Sean.
Of the rest, with Sean Bowen riding Gold Clermont and this Olly Murphy runner one of just two distance winners in the field – he has to be respected too.
The only other winner over this trip is last year’s victor Planned Paradise, who returns rated 7lbs lower and has to be noted as well.
🥇HOLOKEA
🥈JUPITER DES BORDES
🥉GOLD CLERMONT
KEY STATS 📈
- Planned Paradise won the race last season
- No winning favourite (last 6)
- 4 of the last 6 winners aged 9-10
Fakenham ITV Racing Tips: Sunday 18th January, 2026 🏇

2:05 Fakenham – Fakenham Skips Mares’ Handicap Hurdle (Challenger Mares’ Hurdle Series Qualifier) Cl3 (4yo+ 0-125) 2m4f ITV4
The James Owen-trained Mermaids Cave took this race last year and is back in the first-time visor rated 13lbs higher.
She’s the only CD winner in the field though and with Rian Corcoran taking off 7lbs is still on the shortlist.
The Skelton and Snowden yards are going okay at the moment and run Miss Cynthia and Audacious Annie.
But the focus is drawn to the two horses at the foot of the weights – Apples Moon and Princess Keri – who are both on three timers.
Apples Moon has won recently at Exeter and Wincanton but is up 5lbs more this time and up in class.
PRINCESS KERI wins came at Lingfield and Ludlow.
She’s up 7lbs for the last of those wins, but 5lbs of that is offset with Ned Fox’s claim.
She gets in with just 10st 3lbs too and has had two months since her last win.
🥇PRINCESS KERI
🥈APPLES MOON
🥉MERMAIDS CAVE
KEY STATS 📈
- Mermaids Cave won this race last season
- Trainer James Owen has a 29% SR with his hurdlers at the track
- Trainer Dan Skelton has a 29% SR with his hurdlers at the track
2:40 Fakenham – Gamble Plant (Norfolk) Ltd Queen Boudicca Series Final Mares’ Handicap Chase (GBB Race) Cl2 (5yo+) 2m5f ITV4
Sainte Doctor, Jacks Touch and Gazette Bourgeoise, who was fourth in this race last season, are the three CD winners in the race.
GAZETTE BOURGEOISE is rated a pound higher than last year and not getting any younger at 10.
But she does come here in winning form after a smooth 21-length win at this track last month.
It’s interesting that trainer Neil Mulholland has two in the race – Gata Ban and the already mentioned SAINTE DOCTOR.
With the last-named getting the call.
This CD winner does have 12st, but Toby McCain Mitchell is booked to take off 5lbs.
He’s also back from a break (247 days) but not fared badly off a break in the past and the yard also boast a 33% SR with their chasers here.
Of the rest, another horse back from a lay-off is Overabottleofred. Who comes from the Tom Gretton team that also do okay here at Fakenham.
🥇SAINTE DOCTOR
🥈GAZETTE BOURGEOISE
🥉OVERABOTTLEOFRED
KEY STATS 📈
- Trainer Neil Mulholland has a 33% SR with his chasers at the track
- Trainer Tom Gretton has a 29% SR with his chasers at the track
- Jockey Tom Cannon has a 38% SR riding over fences at this track
