The Willie Mullins-trained DOCTOR STEINBERG has seen his Cheltenham Festival ante-post odds slashed after a facile win at the Dublin Racing Festival.
Doctor Steinberg Has Albert Bartlett Betting Odds Cut After Facile DRF Win
With the DRF Saturday card cancelled at the weekend backers of the popular Doctor Steinberg had to wait an extra 48 hours to see their horse in action.
However, it was well worth the wait, as this exciting Willie Mullins-trained 6yo powered home in the Nathaniel Lacy & Partners Solicitors Novice Hurdle at Leopardstown on Monday.
Winning by an eased-down eight lengths at the line under jockey Paul Townend.
The win provided trainer Willie Mullins with a record extending eleventh win in the Dublin Racing Festival contest.
With his first coming back in 2012 with Boston Bob.
Doctor Steinberg New Albert Bartlett Favourite
As the result, the best horse racing betting sites were taking no chances ahead of the 2026 Cheltenham Festival in March.
Slashing his Cheltenham ante-post odds in the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle to 5/2 favourite.
While he’s also been cut in the Turners Novices’ Hurdle to 6/1.
Which was the race last year’s winner of the race Final Demand went onto third in.
Doctor Steinberg will be looking to become the first winner of the Nathaniel Lacy & Partners Solicitors Novice Hurdle and the Albert Bartlett, since the Cheltenham race was first run in 2005.
Mullins also landed the Albert Bartlett last year with Jasmin De Vaux.
And is also the winning-most trainer in the race with four wins (Penhill, 2017), (Monkfish, 2020), (The Nice Guy, 2022).
Then, 35 minutes later Willie Mullins followed up with Narciso Has, which saw his Triumph Hurdle betting odds cut too.
