Liverpool Arne Slot Isak

Liverpool boss Arne Slot could be given just three more games to save his job at Anfield.

Some Reds fans have been calling for Slot to get sacked following their humbling 4-1 Champions League defeat at home to PSV Eindhoven.

Arne Slot Has Three Games To Save His Job As Liverpool Boss

Arne Slot could have just three games to save his job as Liverpool’s drastic form continues.

The Reds were defeated 4-1 at home by Eredivisie leaders PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday night in the Champions League, with some Liverpool fans calling for Slot’s sacking after their latest Anfield humiliation.

The Premier League champions have now lost three on the spin, conceding at least three goals in each game including two heavy defeats on their own patch. Given their terrible form, it’s fair to say the pressure is mounting on Slot.

Liverpool currently sit in 12th place in the Premier League, just seven points above the relegation zone. Despite breaking their transfer record in the summer and spending big on players like Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz, the Reds are really struggling.

With three Premier League games before their next European fixture against Inter, Slot simply must stop the rot and get back to winning ways immediately. If not, then the Dutchman won’t be at Anfield come the New Year.

Liverpool’s next three games are against West Ham, Sunderland and Leeds in England’s top flight. Two of those are away from home against relegation-threatened sides, meaning they are simply a must-win.

Realistically Slot has to win all three games to save his job. Lose even one and Liverpool could be forced to act before the January transfer window.

Slot ‘Feeling Safe’ Despite Disastrous Form and Fans Calling For His Sacking

Arne Slot is now second favourite to lose his job next in the latest Premier League sack race odds, but the Dutchman isn’t feeling too stressed about being relieved of his duties just yet.

Following Liverpool’s 4-1 humiliation at home to PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Wednesday night, Slot was asked by the media whether he was feeling the heat and was worried about losing his job.

“I am feeling safe, I am OK. I have got a lot of support from above,” Slot revealed after the Reds’ second-heaviest European defeat in history.

“It would be nice to turn it around and get a victory, of course, but if you are not doing well then it is normal that questions get asked.

“I am OK with my position. It’s not the first time I’ve been in a difficult position but it is about time that we turned it around,” concluded Slot.

Although Slot is feeling safe right now, he and his side must turn the tide immediately, starting with their trip to West Ham this weekend in the Premier League.

A win on their travels to London followed by positive results against Sunderland and Leeds may well save Slot his job, at least for the time being.

The next Liverpool manager betting odds have made Jurgen Klopp favourite for a magical return to Anfield should Slot’s time come to an end.
