Arsenal Stats Show They Have Improved This Season

Bookmakers have slashed odds on Arsenal winning the quadruple this season.

Mikel Arteta’s side are top of the Premier League and hold an imperious seven-point gap over Manchester City on Sunday.

They also finished top of the pile in the Champions League, winning all eight of their league phase fixtures, and are still competing in the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.

Arsenal’s New Quadruple Odds

Talk of the Gunners winning an unprecedented quadruple has steadily risen, and bookies have now put a new price on them making history.

Just two weeks ago, their best odds stood at 66/1, underlining the near-impossibility of the task.

But market sentiment has since shifted in Arsenal’s favour, with their odds now at 50/1.

While it is clearly still a long shot for punters, the mere fact that the price has tumbled suggests the Londoners have what it takes to triumph on all four fronts.

This has, of course, never been done by an English club. Manchester United came joint-closest in 1998-99 after winning the top-flight, the FA Cup and the Champions League.

Only the League Cup eluded them on that occasion.

Manchester City also scooped three trophies in the 2022-23 campaign, lifting the Premier League, FA Cup and the Champions League.

However, they missed out on the Carabao Cup, crashing out in the quarter-finals.

Unsurprisingly, Arsenal have been heavily tipped to win at least one trophy this season.

They are 1/12 to win a major piece of silverware, and 13/8 to clinch the Premier League and the Carabao Cup. They have also been priced at just 4/1 to lift the Premier League and Champions League. Crucially, Arteta’s charges top the Champions League winner odds.

Mikel Arteta On Arsenal’s Quadruple Bid

Winning the quadruple requires a rare combination of talent and luck, but Arteta has not played down his side’s chances.

“We are building very good momentum. Belief comes from performances and the level of consistency we have shown throughout 32 games this season,” he told reporters last month.

“What we did the other day at Stamford Bridge should help us to be very convinced that we have the ability to do that.”

However, there remains a degree of realism at the Emirates.

Arteta added: “The reality is you have to show it in every game. There is still so much to happen. But we are glad that we are still alive in the four competitions.”

In a major boost to their bid to win four trophies, Bukayo Saka agreed a new contract.
