Chris Eubank Jr has issued a worrying health update with a disturbing social media video of him in hospital.
Following his loss to bitter rival Conor Benn in their rematch, Eubank has shed some light on ‘a lot of health issues’.
Chris Eubank Jr Issues Health Update
Following his rematch defeat to fierce rival Conor Benn last month, Chris Eubank Jr has issued a worrying health update to his fans with a scary social media video.
The video shows Eubank Jr appearing unconscious in a hospital bed surrounded by doctors, attached to several tubes and wires.
With Eubank Jr’s girlfriend expecting twins, the soon-to-be father of two has confirmed that he will be taking some time away to focus on his health before even contemplating a return to the ring.
The 36-year-old looked a shell of himself in November’s rematch defeat to Benn, barely winning a round and being floored on two occasions.
Having won the first fight seven months prior, it’s clear to see that Eubank was suffering some sort of health problem in the rematch, despite making no excuses in the aftermath.
Following his rematch defeat on November 15, Eubank Jr said he had been ‘through hell and back’ in the lead-up to the contest. However, he refused to elaborate on what troubles he had been facing, instead giving Benn his flowers in victory.
However, it is now apparent that ‘Next Gen’ was facing some kind of health issue, with this disturbing social media video confirming it.
I’ve been dealing with a lot of health issues over the last year & yeah it all finally caught up to me last month. I will not box again until I’m back to 100% & I don’t know when that will be, but one things for certain… For the fans that have supported me through thick & thin,… pic.twitter.com/b6kuYCRszY

Eubank Jr Confirms He ‘Will Not Box Again Until I’m Back To 100%’
After sharing an update on social media with a video of himself receiving treatment in hospital, some boxing fans have called for Chris Eubank Jr to retire.
Although Eubank Jr has confirmed in his statement that he will continue fighting, fans are questioning whether this is the right thing to do. Some have suggested that his health issues are a result of his brutal weight cuts over the last few years, including agreeing to two rehydration clauses for both Conor Benn fights.
A lot of people put blame on the Eubank Jr vs Benn rules for their rematch, which stipulated that ‘Next Gen’ must weigh inside the 160-pound limit whilst sticking to a 10-pound rehydration clause for the fight day weigh-in.
Although retirement may well be the best option for Eubank long-term, it seems he will continue when fully fit again. However, the Brighton man will not return until he is back to 100% health, nothing less:

“I’ve been dealing with a lot of health issues over the last year & yeah it all finally caught up to me last month,” wrote Eubank Jr. “I will not box again until I’m back to 100%.
“I don’t know when that will be, but one things for certain… For the fans that have supported me through thick & thin, I will do everything in my power to make sure that one day, the old me makes a big comeback.”
Eubank Jr’s father Chris Eubank Sr had been vocal with his concerns prior to both Benn fights, and it seems the British boxing icon was right all along after this worrying health update from his eldest son.
