FIFA have revealed the prize money that teams will be competing for at this summer’s Club World Cup.

Manchester City and Chelsea will take part in the 32-team reformatted tournament at the end of the Premier League season.

It will take place in a World Cup-style format with a group stage followed by a knock-out process that runs from the Round of 16 until the final.

The tournament will be played in the United States between June 14 to July 13 – three weeks after the Premier League season concludes.

On Wednesday, FIFA confirmed the full prize pot that teams will be fighting for at the Club World Cup.

$1 Billion Purse On Offer At 2025 Club World Cup

FIFA has confirmed that a total of $1 billion (£775m) in prize money will be split across the 32 participating teams at the Club World Cup this summer.

Manchester City or Chelsea could earn up to $125m (£96.9m) if they win the tournament.

To put that into context, City banked around £110m for winning the Champions League in 2023.

Each team receives a participation fee followed by extra funds per win or draw they get in the group stage.

The prize money will then increase the further teams get through in the knockout rounds – with the winners of the tournament getting a huge payday.
