David Adeleye Gives Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul Prediction
Heavyweight contender David Adeleye has insight into what it’s like sharing a ring with Anthony Joshua, as well as seeing Jake Paul train first-hand.
With that in mind, Adeleye has weighed-in with his Joshua vs Paul pre-fight prediction, sharing his thoughts and opinions on how he sees the December 19 heavyweight match-up in Miami playing out.
With the Joshua vs Paul rules confirmed, it will be contested as an eight-round professional heavyweight contest, with each round lasting the usual three-minutes.
Former two-time unified world heavyweight champion Joshua cannot weigh any more than 245-pounds when it comes to the official weigh-in, with standard gloves and ring size also in play at the Kaseya Center.
The fight took everyone by complete surprise when it was officially announced, but will go ahead in just a couple weeks time in what is sure to be one of the most-watched fights in modern boxing history, live exclusively on Netflix.
Ahead of the fight, a number of big names from the sport have weighed-in with their thoughts and predictions for AJ vs Paul. One of these is 14-2 English heavyweight Adeleye, who is better versed than most in what both fighters are capable of.
Adeleye has shared countless rounds of sparring with Joshua, as well as recently watching ‘The Problem Child’ train close-up in the gym.

Adeleye Sparred ‘AJ’ and Watched Jake Paul Train
Despite previously stating concerns for Jake Paul’s safety if he were to step foot in the ring with Anthony Joshua, David Adeleye has somewhat changed his mind on the fight after seeing ‘The Problem Child’ train in person.
Adeleye previously told Seconds Out that a fight between Joshua and Paul could spell catastrophe for the American, but now feels the Ohio man has to be taken seriously by the former two-time unified world heavyweight champion.
All Joshua vs Paul drug testing has been confirmed with USADA on board, with the fight now full-steam ahead for Friday, December 19 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.
Ahead of the super-fight, Adeleye told Pro Boxing Fans his opinions on the contest, having shared the ring with ‘AJ’ previously and having recently witnessed Paul in training:
“I was in the gym with him [Jake Paul]. Good fight, good fight,” said Adeleye.
“Listen, Jake Paul knows why he asked for ‘AJ.’ We’ll see what happens.
“Jake is a learner, he wants to listen, he asks questions, he digs deep, whatever is asked of him, he tries to provide. Everyone calls him a YouTuber, but this is a man with a lot of money. He pays for the best trainers, nutritionists, chefs, S&C coaches; he’s a full-time athlete now,” Adeleye concluded.
Although the 29-year-old has sat on the fence with his Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul prediction somewhat, Adeleye’s insight is certainly intriguing ahead of the bout.
