The 2025 Formula One (F1) season roars back into action with the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort this weekend.
McLaren are firmly in control of the Constructors’ Championship, with their drivers Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris battling for the top spot in the Drivers’ Championship.
Ahead of the exciting race weekend in the Netherlands, SportsCasting has brought you the perfect information pamphlet. From weather report to the best F1 betting tips for the weekend, read to get the key details for the 15th Grand Prix of the season.
Dutch Grand Prix 2025 Will Have Tricky Weather Conditions
F1 cars are highly sensitive to weather conditions. The pecking order often goes for a toss in adverse weather conditions, which makes it a treat for fans and lower-ranked teams.
The unpredictability factor is likely to reign over the Grand Prix in the Netherlands, as rain is expected on all sessions from Friday to Sunday.
Friday
According to the FIA weatherman, Zandvoort will get rain of variable intensity from Thursday. Between 5 and 10 mm of rainfall is expected on Friday, with temperatures dropping to 18°C for Free Practice 1 and 19-20°C for the Free Practice 2.
Wind speed is likely to be up to 25 kmph.
Saturday
We have one practice session (FP3) and the Qualifying on Saturday. For both sessions, light rain is expected, between 5 and 15 mm.
Drivers, however, will have to deal with considerably stronger wind speeds from the south west, hovering between 30 and 40 kmph.
Sunday
Sunday’s Grand Prix will be the trickiest to judge for teams. Zandvoort is likely to have very light rain with passing showers and some sunshine over the course of the race.
With conditions varying so much, strategy could be key to determining the winner.
Dutch GP Preview: Norris Eyeing Piastri’s Spot
Lando Norris, who is 11/8 to with UK betting sites to win the Drivers’ Championship, began the 2025 Formula One season as the top contender to end Max Verstappen’s dominance. He also got the start that he wanted, winning the Australian Grand Prix ahead of Verstappen.
Norris, however, could not extend his hot streak. At the Chinese GP, Oscar Piastri claimed the win, beating Norris by nearly 10 seconds. In the following rounds, the Aussie turned on the heat on the Englishman, emerging as the top man in the Drivers’ Championship rankings.
Norris has now begun responding, winning three of the last three Grands Prix, including the British Grand Prix.
His resurgence has taken him to within nine points of Piastri, meaning a win in Zandvoort could see him become the new championship leader.

Norris, who admitted that the McLaren team rivalry with Oscar Piasri is not ideal, won the Dutch Grand Prix in 2023. The victory broke Verstappen’s winning streak at the venue since 2021.
The battle between the Papaya boys is not the only talking point ahead of the battle in Zandvoort. After committing his future to Red Bull, home hero Verstappen will look to make a statement of intent by winning in the Netherlands.
Ferrari boys Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton are chasing their maiden win, whereas George Russell will look to take a step further after finishing third in Hungary.

Dutch GP Betting Odds Suggest Another Win for Piastri
Lando Norris was the happiest man entering the F1 summer break. In Round 12, the Englishman won his first British Grand Prix. Then, in the final Grand Prix before the summer break, he overcame Oscar Piastri to take the win in Hungary.
Despite his rising form, bookmakers are backing Oscar Piastri to take the chequered flag in Zandvoort.
The Drivers’ Championship leader is 6/4 to win the Dutch GP. Norris, meanwhile, is the second favourite at 13/8.
Both McLaren drivers are a skinny 1/4 favourites to finish on the podium.

Local hero Max Verstappen is the third favourite to win the Dutch Grand Prix. He is priced at 9/1 to win and 4/6 to finish on the podium with betting sites.
Lewis Hamilton, who has yet to secure a podium finish at Ferrari, is not a favourite to break the duck in the Netherlands.
The bookies are giving the seven-time champion 9/2 odds to do so.
Best Betting Tips for Dutch Grand Prix
Dutch Grand Prix promises thrills and spills, but bookmakers are not expecting surprises.
This means McLaren are once again likely to dominate proceedings, with Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris favourites to finish on the podium. Both McLaren drivers are 1/4 to secure a top three finish.
You could pick either Norris or Piastri for the fastest qualifier, as they are identically priced at 5/4.
However, when it comes to the Grand Prix, Piastri has the edge over his British rival. The eight-time Grand Prix winner is 6/4 to win the Dutch Grand Prix.
