With the announcement that the Chris Eubank vs Conor Benn rematch will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on November 15, boxing fans have taken to social media to react to the news.
Whilst some fans are looking forward to the bout, it’s fair to say that the majority of boxing fans aren’t too happy with the fight happening again.

The Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn rematch was in doubt for a while with both parties going quiet, but that silence has been broken as the rematch has been officially confirmed for November 15.
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will once again play host to this epic boxing rivalry, with the two sons following in the footsteps of their fathers, delivering a remarkable contest back in April in London.
Now, it has been confirmed that the Eubank vs Benn rematch will indeed go ahead later this year. ‘Next Gen’ won the first fight via unanimous decision against his fierce rival, and will be looking to do the same again for the second time some seven months on.
For Conor Benn, who suffered the first defeat of his career against Eubank back in April, he’ll be desperate to get one back on his fierce rival. A Benn is yet to beat a Eubank in the boxing ring, so ‘The Destroyer’ will be hoping to break that tend later this year.
Eubank Jr was the slight favourite for the first fight with boxing betting sites, and that will be the same for the rematch too. Despite being weight drained and facing a rehydration clause, the 35-year-old will once again go in as the bookies favourite fore their second dance too.
Although some fans are looking forward to the rematch given how epic an encounter the first one was, the vast majority of fans aren’t too pleased that the rematch is actually happening.
Despite being thoroughly entertaining both in the ring and outside of the ring, with Eubank Snr showing up completely out of the blue, the majority of fans have expressed ill feeling towards the rematch.

Boxing Fans React To Eubank vs Benn Rematch Announcement
Chris Eubank Jr’s next fight is officially a rematch against fierce rival Conor Benn, much to the frustration of a lot of boxing fans.
Although there are pockets of supporters happy with the Eubank vs Benn 2 announcement, an overwhelming majority are furious with the fight and simply don’t feel a need to see it again.

Some fans feel that Hamzah Sheeraz’s next fight should have been against Eubank Jr at super-middleweight, rather than a rematch with Benn at 160-pounds or a catchweight.

However, there were some fans, albeit in the minority, who are delighted with the Eubank vs Benn rematch announcement.
The fight will undoubtedly sell-out the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium once again in November, despite the inclimate weather conditions. Both men are huge names, so expect a sell-out crowd to make their way to north London to cheer, or boo, both men on.
The first fight was epic. I didn’t think a second one was necessary, but I’m not surprised because the payday was too big for both fighters to pass up. Anyway, considering the Riyadh card takes place a week after this, Nov is going to be a great month for boxing.

What Weight Will The Eubank Jr vs Benn 2 Fight Be At?
Although a date and venue has been confirmed for the Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn rematch, the weight is one stipulation yet to be made official.
The first fight back in April was agreed at 160-pounds – the middleweight limit. However, there was a rehydration clause meaning Eubank was unable to gain as much weight as he would have liked, thus affecting his performance in the ring.
Despite getting the win in the first fight, many fans felt that Eubank’s performance was hindered due to the horrible weight cut. At 35-years-old, many fans felt ‘Next Gen’ took too much out of himself in making weight, despite missing it by less than half-a-pound.
The fight went ahead of course with the son of former legendary British fighter Chris Eubank Snr getting his hand raised. However, his performance was certainly effected due to the weight restrictions.
With the rematch now signed and sealed, fans will be hoping for the weight limit to be increase for Eubank’s sake. A catchweight of 163/164-pounds is likely, or perhaps even higher.
Conor Benn, who boasts a £7.5m net worth, is a natural welterweight and is giving away huge size advantages to his opponent, so will want the fight to be at 160-pounds once again.
However, given the fact he won the first fight fair and square, despite being severely dehydrated, you’d like to think that Chris Eubank Jr has had more of a say in the weight this time around for the rematch.
