Europa and Conference League Betting Tips on Thursday 11th December 2025

Hot on the heels of our midweek Champions League betting tips action comes more European football on Thursday.

With the Europa and Conference Leagues taking centrestage as the sides enter gameweek six.

Thursday’s matches will feature six British sides as they look to enhance their qualification claims heading into the New Year.

These include Forest heading to Holland to face FC Utrecht, while Villa travel to Switzerland to take on Basel.

So, if you are having a punt on the games – see our quick-fire stats-based Europa and Conference League betting tips, which will hopefully point you in the direction of a few winners.

FC Utrecht vs Nottingham Forest 17:45 (Europa League)

Dutch side FC Utrecht and Forest have never faced-off so no past meetings to go on here.

Forest will come into the game in 16th in the table (8pts), but will know a win will propel them closer to the one of the magic top eight places.

While FC Utrecht are way back in 32nd, with only a point (draw) from their opening five games.

Therefore, despite being the away side, it’s no shock to see Forest as the odds-on favourites to win.

Sean Dyche’s side are also unbeaten in their last three in this competition and even though they head here after a 3-0 defeat to Everton, should have too much class.

In contrast, Utrecht like a draw at the moment – they’ve shared the points in four of their last six games, with 50% of those ending 1-1.

If you fancy more of the same another 1-1 correct score here is on offer at 13/2.

But the home side are also no strangers to scoring – they’ve netted in all of their last eight matches.

So, with Forest looking bankers to get at least one too, then both teams to score at 4/5 looks fair value.

BEST BET: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE @ 4/5

Match Odds

  • FC Utrecht 7/2
  • Draw 11/4
  • Nottingham Forest 8/11

Ferencvaros vs Rangers 17:45 (Europa League)

A Hungarian road-trip for Rangers on Thursday night as they take on Ferencvaros, who are topping their domestic league.

The pair have history too – having played twice before.

But this came way back in the 1960’s European Cup Winners’ Cup – with one win-a-piece.

Ferencvaros are going well in this competition too as they sit 6th on 11 points and are yet to lose a game (three wins, two draws).

Whereas, Rangers are looking doomed in 33rd place on only one point (draw) – so will need a win at least to keep their dreams alive.

However, that is going to be hard against a side that come here unbeaten in their last four and off a 3-0 home league win at the weekend.

They even beat a team 15-0 in the Hungarian League Cup earlier this season.

Rangers won 3-0 away at Kilmarnock recently, but that was their first win in four.

Therefore, it’s hard to see anything but a home win here as Ferencvaros continue their charge to book an automatic qualification place.

BEST BET: FERENCVAROS WIN @ 4/6

Match Odds

  • Ferencvaros 4/6
  • Draw 11/4
  • Rangers 7/2

Basel vs Aston Villa 20:00 (Europa League)

Aston Villa will head to Switzerland to face Basel – on what will be their third clash.

They last met in the Intertoto Cup in 2001 – with Villa winning 4-1 (and the other clash a 1-1 draw).

Villa are flying high in this competition too, as they sit in third on 12 points having won four and lost one.

Plus will be full of confidence after beating Premier League leaders and Champions League betting odds favourites Arsenal last weekend.

Basel are down in 24th (six points), just inside the play-off places – having won two and lost three.

Villa are also coming here unbeaten in their last seven, but recent games suggest we could get goals here.

Basel’s last two matches saw OVER 2.5 GOALS, while five of Villa’s last six also produced 3+ goals.

We think the Premier League side will win, but Over 2.5 Goals in the game looks the safer call at 4/7.

BEST BET: OVER 2.5 GOALS @ 4/7

Match Odds

  • Basel 7/2
  • Draw 10/3
  • Aston Villa 4/6

Celtic vs Roma 20:00 (Europa League)

Despite being two of the biggest clubs in their countries – Celtic and Roma have never played each other.

So a bit of history is being created here, in what looks like a tight betting heat.

It’s no shock to see Roma as the 5/4 favourites to get all three points.

But Celtic, who are 21st in the table, will know they need a win to keep their hopes of progressing afloat.

The Hoops have won two, drawn one and lost two of their Europa League games, and sit just two points off Roma in 15th (three wins, two losses).

Meaning a win for the Scottish giants will see them leapfrog Roma in the table.

Whereas a win for Roma could push them into a top eight slot – depending on other results.

Celtic are also licking their wounds after a 2-1 weekend home loss to SPL leaders Hearts.

But Roma lost at the weekend too (away at Cagliari) and were also defeated before that by Napoli.

In fact, Roma haven’t scored in their last two either – which will give Celtic more hope.

It’s a tricky game to call, that could turn into a cagey and tight affair.

But the value has to sit with Celtic, who will know a win will put them right back in the Europa League mix.

BEST BET: CELTIC WIN @ 9/4

Match Odds

  • Celtic 9/4
  • Draw 12/5
  • Roma 5/4

Shelbourne vs Crystal Palace 20:00 (Europa Conference)

Shelbourne sit third in the Irish Premier Division, but come into this clash with FA Cup winners Crystal Palace having lost their last three.

Palace had a mini-wobble last month but has steadied the ship and come here having beaten Burnley and Fulham in the league.

But the Eagles lost their last game in this competition to Strasbourg and sit 18th (six points).

Therefore, they know anything but three points here will be a poor result.

But a win would see them climb back up the table, with a home clash next week to KPS Kuopio another winnable match.

The match odds are ridiculous though – with Palace as short as 1/6 and Shelbourne 16/1 for the shock.

So we have to delve into the associated markets here to find an angle.

We can expect the Irish side to make things hard and will probably put 11 men behind the ball.

But it will be disappointing if Palace are conceding – so the 8/11 on the Eagles winning ‘To Nil’ is how we are going to play this one.

BEST BET: CRYSTAL PALACE WIN ‘TO NIL’ @ 8/11

Match Odds

  • Shelbourne 16/1
  • Draw 6/1
  • Crystal Palace 1/6

Aberdeen vs Strasbourg 20:00 (Europa Conference)

The final of our Europa Conference League betting tips comes with Aberdeen hosting French side Strasbourg.

Aberdeen are way down in 33rd in the table and are yet to win a game (two points).

Whereas Strasbourg are flying high in second (10 points) and are yet to lose a match.

On a plus though, the Dons are unbeaten in their last eight (all comps) and head here off a 4-1 away win over Dundee last weekend.

Strasbourg sit 8th in their domestic league and despite beating Palace in this competition last time – have lost their last two league games.

This will give the Scottish side hope of getting something here and they need to if they want a squeak of making the play-offs.

So with Aberdeen on a good run at the moment and home advantage, we’ll take a home/draw option in the ‘Double Chance’ market here at 11/8.

BEST BET: DOUBLE CHANCE – ABERDEEN/DRAW @ 11/8

Match Odds

  • Aberdeen 9/2
  • Draw 3/1
  • Strasbourg 4/7
