Preston draw Aston Villa & Manchester City face Bournemouth

Extra time was the story of the fifth round in the FA Cup this season, with three of the eight games ending level after 90 minutes.

Fulham were the last team to qualify for the quarters after beating holders Manchester United on penalties and after a gritty win, they were rewarded with a London derby against Crystal Palace.

Bournemouth also won on penalties in the fifth round and their dramatic victory over 10-man Wolves saw them through to a quarter final against Manchester City.

Manchester City remain the warm favourites to win the FA Cup this season as per the best football betting sites in the UK, with the Cityzens priced as short as 6/4 to win the competition.

The lowest ranked team left in the cup are Championship side Preston North End who were drawn at home against Aston Villa in what will be one of the biggest games in the club’s history.

There is still two teams left to play in the fifth round of the cup, with Nottingham Forest taking on Ipswich Town in an all-Premier League affair on Monday night.

The winner of the final fifth round tie will make the trip to Brighton for a tricky quarter final against a Seagulls side that will be brimming with confidence after securing an extra time win over Newcastle.

The FA Cup quarter finals will take place on the weekend commencing Saturday 29th of March – see here for the remaining schedule.
