Solerina Mares Novice Hurdle The Highlight at Fairyhouse On Tuesday

Hot on the heels of the 2026 Dublin Racing Festival comes more Irish horse racing action – with the action moving to Fairyhouse.

The seven-race fixture gets going at 1:15pm and runs till 4:40pm, with the Grade Three Solerina Mares Novice Hurdle (2:25pm) the highlight.

This year’s renewal sees a fascinating clash between the JP McManus-owned Oldschool Outlaw, who has already beaten the classy Bambino Fever this season, and the Willie Mullins-trained Place De La Nation, who impressed when winning here at Fairyhouse on New Year’s Day.

Which mare will have the most ‘Girl Power’ today?

Fairyhouse Horse Racing Tips and Stats: Tuesday 3rd February 2026

1:15 Treo Eile Supporting Racehorse Aftercare Mares Maiden Hurdle (4yo+) – 2m RTV

A big mares’ maiden hurdle with 15 runners to get the Fairyhouse horse racing tips off and running.

On heavy ground, fitness will make a difference and so recent Down Royal fourth DUNSY ROCK is the call.

This Gordon Elliott runner ran well that day to finish just out the places, but with 18 runners that was a decent first run.

Jack Kennedy rides and the yard have a top record in the race, with three wins since 2018.

Plus, the last SEVEN have all been won by the favourite.

While, of those seen on the track, really Shesakindofmagic, Likealightswitch and Alliteration will be the ones playing for the places.

Selections

🥇Dunsy Rock
🥈
Shesakindofmagic
🥉Likealightswitch

KEY STATS 📈

  • Trainer Gordon Elliott has won this race three times since 2018
  • The last SEVEN renewals all went to the favourite.

1:50 BetVictor Still Best Odds Guaranteed Maiden Hurdle (4yo+) – 2m RTV

A competitive open maiden hurdle with SPRINGHILL WARRIOR as the clear market leader and another from the powerful Gordon Elliott yard.

This grey was a decent second last time at Punchestown to I Started A Joke, who franked the form running well (2nd) at the recent DRF.

He’s also handled heavy ground in the past so conditions will be fine.

Harwa and Lincoln Du Seuil are the main dangers, while Grandy Lane also merits respect if bouncing back.

Selections

🥇Springhill Warrior
🥈
Harwa
🥉Lincoln Du Seuil

KEY STATS 📈

  • Trainer Willie Mullins has won the last two runnings
  • Four of the last five favourites have won
  • 7 of the last 9 winners aged 5 or 6

2:25 BetVictor Solerina Mares Novice Hurdle (Grade 3) (4yo+) – 2m2½f RTV

Small but solid field in this graded mares’ novices’ hurdle – but it looks a bit of a shootout between Oldschool Outlaw and Place De La Nation.

Oldschool Outlaw was snapped up by JP McManus after beating the classy Bambino Fever earlier in the season and she will be ridden by the in-form Mark Walsh.

The Gordon Elliott mare also gets a handy 4lbs from her main rival

PLACE DE LA NATION is the call though being a proven winner here at Fairyhouse, when impressing here on New Year’s Day.

This will be harder, but this is a race Willie Mullins loves to target – winning the last four and six of the last nine.

Selections

🥇Place De La Nation
🥈Oldschool Outlaw
🥉Carry On Heidi

KEY STATS 📈

  • Willie Mullins has won the last four and 5 of the last 9
  • Favourites (or joint) have won 8 of the last 9

2:55 Easter Festival 4th–6th April Maiden Hurdle (4yo+) – 2m4½f RTV

The Gavin Cromwell form at the moment is not the best (4-29) so their Sound As A Bell is overlooked, despite having an obvious chance.

Gordon Elliott runs Gunnery Sergeant and sports the first-time cheekpieces, which is interesting.

But the call is the Paul Nolan runner WALKING SPIRIT, with the yard going okay.

This 5yo mare has only raced twice but improved from her first to second run with a fair 5th last time at Limerick in a flat race.

She’s sure to have been well-schooled for this and also gets a handy 7lbs mares’ allowance from most of the others.

Selections

🥇Walking Spirit
🥈Sound As A Bell

🥉Gunnery Sergeant

KEY STATS 📈

  • Trainer Paul Nolan is 2-9 (22%) with his recent runners
  • Trainer Gavin Cromwell is only 4-29 with recent runners

3:30 Bobbyjo Day February 21st Handicap Hurdle (4yo+) – 2m4½f RTV

Recent Punchestown winner Lough Nigara will be popular having also beaten Folly Master into second that day – with 5 1/2 lengths between them.

But is up 8lbs for that win and on these terms FOLLY MASTER is favoured to reverse that form.

This Tom Dreaper-trained 8yo can also come on for the run as it was his first since November and top jockey Keith Donoghue has been booked to ride.

Themanintheanorak is also respected and can do best of the rest after a good second here at Fairyhouse too.

Selections

🥇Folly Master
🥈Lough Nigara
🥉Themanintheanorak

KEY STATS 📈

  • Just two winning favourites since 2018
  • 5 of the last 7 winners aged 7-9

4:05 Adare Manor Opportunity Handicap Hurdle (4yo+) – 2m RTV

The Gordon Elliott camp took this race in 2018 and 2023 and are the call to do so again with DAIRY FORCE.

This 7yo was last seen running fourth at Thurles in November but has since switched tom the Liam G O’Brien yard to Elliott.

Before that he was also a fine second at Clonmel and on that running will be hard to keep out of things.

Recent Down Royal winner Verbal Sparring can go well too. While Our Uncle Jack is also noted after a facile 23-length win at Clonmel last time.

Selections

🥇Dairy Force
🥈
Verbal Sparring
🥉Our Uncle Jack

KEY STATS 📈

  • The last four winners aged 5 or 6
  • No winning favourite in the last six
  • Gordon Elliott has won 2 of the last 7

4:40 Get Daily Bet Boosts At BetVictor (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race (4yo+) – 2m RTV

If the betting is right this final race should be going to the Willie Mullins-trained GREEN HINT.

This 5yo is having his first run for Mullins after coming from the Crawford team and showed promised last season.

He was last out at Punchestown in April in a NH Flat race, but that form looks above average and if translating that to hurdles will be hard to beat.

Willie Mullins won this in 2024 with Argento Boy.

Point winner Lemmy Caution for Gordon Elliott can do best of the rest.

Selections

🥇Green Hint
🥈
Lemmy Caution
🥉Some See Stars

KEY STATS 📈

  • Willie Mullins won this in 2024
  • Both winners aged 5
