Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres is among the most likely goalscorers in FPL for Gameweek 9 off the back of his brace against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
Gyokeres Among Most Likely to Score in FPL Gameweek 9
Friday’s FPL deadline for Gameweek 9 is edging closer, and as players continue to chop and change their squads, we’re taking a look at who the most likely goalscorers are this weekend.
Calculated using the bookmakers’ latest anytime goalscorer odds, we have formed a list of players that are most likely to score in GW9 based on the implied probability of their odds.
As a surprise to no one, Manchester City star Erling Haaland tops the list.
The Cityzens travel to the West Midlands for their Gameweek 9 clash as they take on Aston Villa, with the bookmakers’ odds suggesting that Haaland has a 52.4% likelihood of finding the net.
In Gameweek 8, he scored both goals as his side claimed a 2-0 win over Everton at home.
His tally for the campaign now sits at 15 goals and one assist in 11 appearances across all competitions, having added another goal in City’s 1-0 win over Villarreal on Tuesday evening.

Haaland has now scored in an incredible 12 consecutive matches for club and country.
His form has seen his price rise, once again, in the latest FPL price changes for Gameweek 9.
Ranked as the second likeliest player to score this weekend off the back of netting an impressive brace against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday is Viktor Gyokeres.
The Swede has failed to score in his last four Premier League appearances for Arsenal, with his most recent goal coming against Nottingham Forest last month, however the bookmakers give him a goalscoring probability of 44.4% at home against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.
Gyokeres has a total of five goals in 12 appearances for the Gunners thus far this term, and he’ll be desperate to carry his midweek form into the weekend to add to his English top-flight tally.

The Brazilian is 42.1% likely to find the back of the net against newly promoted Sunderland at Stamford Bridge on Saturday despite going seven consecutive games without scoring a goal.
Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah (40%) and Alexander Isak (39.2%) also have a high likelihood of scoring. The Reds face off against Brentford in the capital on Saturday night.
Other notable players with high goalscoring probabilities include Nick Woltemade (38.1%), Benjamin Sesko (38.1%), Evanilson (36.4%) and Dominic Calvert-Lewin (35.7%).
