The new 2025/26 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season is on the horizon – with the deadline set for 6:30PM on Friday, August 15.

Last season, over 11 million players participated in the worldwide clash of fantasy managers, making it the game’s most successful campaign.

While, at the time of writing, 2.9 million players have registered for the upcoming season, with experts projecting an even bigger turnout than last year.

In short FPL fever is heating up by the day as managers try and work out their best squads.

So, in the hunt for much-needed extra points – we’ve listed the expected penalty and set-piece takers for EVERY team.

Standing out in this highly competitive game is a tall order. It is crucial to maximise point-scoring, and there is hardly a more efficient way to do so than nabbing a few guaranteed penalty or set-piece takers.

Unlike marquee players like Mohamed Salah, who broke a long-standing Cristiano Ronaldo record last season, many of these ‘set-piece and penalty’ players are available on a bargain.

Potential FPL Penalty Takers and Set-Piece Experts of All 20 Teams – 2025/26

Arsenal Penalty and Set-Piece Takers in 2025/26

Arsenal scored two penalties in the 2024/25 Premier League season, with Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard scoring one each.

This year, Viktor Gyokeres has joined the Gunners. So, we expect him to be in the mix for spot-kick responsibilities too.

Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard took the majority of direct free-kicks, whereas Saka was the leading man in corners and indirect free-kicks. No changes there.

Aston Villa Penalty and Set-Piece Takers in 2025/26

Youri Tielemans missed the first penalty Aston Villa won in the 2024/25 Premier League. Ollie Watkins took and scored the following two penalties.

Marco Asensio, Marcus Rashford, and Jhon Duran also scored from the spot, but with them leaving the club, Watkins is surely the default penalty taker for Aston Villa.

Lucas Digne and Leon Bailey are the top two direct free-kick takers, while Tielemans and John McGinn share corner-kick and indirect free-kick duties.

Bournemouth Penalty and Set-Piece Takers in 2025/26

Evanilson took and missed Bournemouth’s first penalty kick last season. After that, Justin Kluivert converted six on the bounce. Cherries boss Andoni Iraola has confirmed that Kluivert and Evanilson are his top two penalty takers.

James Tavernier is set to take all free-kicks, direct and indirect, as well as corner kicks. His deputies, Enes Unal and Lewis Cook, are out, with the former nursing a knee injury and the latter suspended.

Brentford Penalty and Set-Piece Takers in 2025/26

Earlier this month, betting sites dubbed Newcastle United the favourite to sign Yoane Wissa from Brentford. But as per the latest reports, the Magpies are likely to call off the pursuit.

If Wissa stays at Brentford, he will be the club’s designated penalty taker.

Mikkel Damsgaard is the preferred corner-kick and set-piece taker, with Keane Lewis-Potter and Mathias Jensen playing second fiddle.

Brighton Penalty and Set-Piece Takers in 2025/26

Joao Pedro was Brighton & Hove Albion’s default penalty-taker in the 2024/25 season. Following his departure to Chelsea, Danny Welbeck is expected to be the Seagulls’ leading penalty taker. He scored one penalty last season when Pedro was absent.

In Welbeck’s absence, Matt O’Riley is likely to assume penalty-kick responsibilities. With Pedro and Welbeck out, O’Riley also scored one penalty last season.

Welbeck and O’Riley are on direct free-kick duty as well. Finally, O’Riley and Brajan Gruda share corner and indirect free-kick duties.

Burnley Penalty and Set-Piece Takers in 2025/26

Both of Burnley’s first-choice penalty takers from last season, Josh Brownhill and Jay Rodriguez, have left the club.

This leaves the door open for the returning Ashley Barnes and Jacob Bruun Larsen to take the penalties in 2025/26.

Both took spot-kicks in their previous stints with the club. Costing just £4.5 million, Barnes is the joint-least expensive penalty kicker in FPL 2025/26.

Jaidon Anthony is the designated corner-kick and free-kick taker.

Chelsea Penalty and Set-Piece Takers in 2025/26

Cole Palmer took all of Chelsea’s penalties last season.

With Joao Pedro joining the ranks, the two forwards are expected to share responsibilities. Palmer is likely to continue serving as the team’s primary direct free-kick taker. Captain Reece James could deputise.

Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernandez will be on corners and indirect free-kicks.

Crystal Palace Penalty and Set-Piece Takers in 2025/26

Arsenal have been closing in on Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, with bookmakers recently slashing the odds of the transfer. Jean-Philippe Mateta could also be on the move, with Manchester United credited with an interest.

However, until the moves are finalised, Mateta and Eze remain Palace’s go-to penalty takers.

Eze is also the main man from direct free-kicks and corners, and indirect free-kicks. Justin Devenny deputises for him in free-kicks, while Will Hughes shares corners and indirect free-kick workload.

Everton Penalty and Set-Piece Takers in 2025/26

Iliman Ndiaye was Everton’s first-choice penalty taker last season and will hold onto the role in 2025/26. Beto could take fill in when Ndiaye is absent.

Carlos Alcaraz, James Garner, and Dwight McNeil share free-kick and corner-kick responsibilities.

Fulham Penalty and Set-Piece Takers in 2025/26

Raul Gimenez, who converted from all five penalty kicks last season, will remain Fulham’s go-to spot-kick taker. Andreas Pereira is likely to deputise for him.

Andreas is also on corner and free-kick duty, with Tom Cairney and Harry Wilson serving as his understudies.

FPL 2025/26: Leeds United Penalty and Set-Piece Takers

Pascal Struijk took four of Leeds United’s five penalties in the 2024/25 season. Second-choice Joel Piroe scored his only penalty when Struijk was off. Like Ashley Barnes, Struijk is also an excellent value option at £4.5m.

Ilia Gruev, Brendan Aaronson, and Daniel James share other set-piece duties.

Liverpool FPL Penalty Takers and Set-Piece Experts

Liverpool have an abundance of set-piece takers in their ranks. The most expensive player in FPL, Mohamed Salah, is the designated penalty taker, with him taking 12 spot-kicks last season. He also takes his fair share of direct free-kicks.

Salah is also sure to be popular when it comes to using some of the many Fantasy Premier League chips for 2025/26 – including making him their triple captain pick when the fixtures allow.

Florian Wirtz will also get a few set-piece opportunities in 2025/26. Coming to indirect free-kicks and corners, Alexis Mac Allister is the obvious first choice.

FPL 2025/26: Man City Penalty Takers and Set-Piece Experts

Erling Haaland is the undisputed first-choice when it comes to penalties. In his absence, Jeremy Doku and Omar Marmoush could take their chance.

However, as always – Haaland is going to be one of the FPL most expensive players for the 2025/26 season.

Marmoush is also Man City’s first-choice from direct free-kicks, followed by Phil Foden. Bernardo Silva, Foden, and Marmoush also see some action from corners and indirect free-kicks.

FPL 2025/26: Man Utd Penalty Takers and Set-Piece Experts

Bruno Fernandes has been Man Utd’s designated penalty, free-kick, and corner taker for years.

He will continue to be the main man in 2025/26. New Man Utd signing Bryan Mbeumo could also take a few penalties, while Matheus Cunha might offer a fresh take from free-kicks and corners.

Newcastle United FPL Penalty Takers and Set-Piece Experts

Alexander Isak was Newcastle United’s go-to penalty taker in 2024/25. However, with him expressing his desire to leave, a new Eddie Howe may very well have to assign a new spot-kick taker.

The FPL price reveals for 2025/26 saw Isak at £10.5m if you want him in your team.

The Magpies have seemingly identified Jarrod Bowen as Isak’s replacement. If that move goes through, he could be on penalty duty. Otherwise, Anthony Gordon may have to shoulder that responsibility.

Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schar, and Lewis Hall primarily handle free kicks and corners.

FPL 2025/26: Nottingham Forest Penalty Takers and Set-Piece Experts

Nottingham Forest striker Chris Wood will once again be on penalty duty in the 2025/26 season. In his absence, Morgan Gibbs-White is likely to take charge.

Gibbs-White and Murillo will share direct free-kick duties, whereas Elliot Anderson will oversee corners and indirect free-kicks.

Sunderland FPL Penalty Takers and Set-Piece Experts

Sunderland scored just one of their five penalties last season, with Patrick Roberts getting on the scoresheet. Roberts also missed one, Luke O’Nien another, and Wilson Isidor squandered two penalties.

Enzo Le Fee and Roberts are Sunderland’s top two corner and free-kick takers.

FPL 2025/26: Tottenham Penalty Takers and Set-Piece Experts

Captain Heung-min Son looked set to leave earlier this summer. But due to the lack of potential replacements, the South Korean may stay put for another season.

If he stays, Son is likely to be the club’s first-choice penalty taker.

Dominic Solanke could take them in his absence. James Maddison looks nailed-on in the free-kick department, with Pedro Porro serving as his backup.

FPL 2025/26: West Ham Penalty Takers and Set-Piece Experts

With betting charges cleared, Lucas Paqueta is gearing up to deliver a mega campaign for West Ham United.

The Brazilian, known for his dead-ball ability, is set to serve as the Hammers’ first-choice penalty and free-kick taker.

Jarrod Bowen, if he continues with West Ham, is likely to deputise for him like last season. James Ward-Prowse and Emerson will be on corner-kick duty.

FPL 2025/26: Wolves Penalty Takers and Set-Piece Experts

Wolverhampton Wanderers did not win even a single penalty last season. Had they gotten the chance, Hwang Hee-chan, Pablo Sarabia, and Matheus Cunha would have lined up to get on the scoresheet.

With Sarabia and Cunha gone, Hee-chan is the automatic first-choice penalty taker for Wolves in 2025/26.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Emmanuel Agbadou will be on other set-pieces.
