A great angle for finding horse racing winners can be to latch onto a ‘Hot Trainer’ and a stable that are firing in the winners. With this in mind, SportsCasting’s Andy Newton looks at the yards in-form this week – based on winners they’ve had over the last two weeks.
Horse Racing Trainer Stats: Hot Trainers This Week 🔥
Based on the horse racing trainer stats below – these four trainers are worth looking out for this week (from Monday 20th October).
Plus, we also list several more in-form stables below to have on your radar.
Jamie Snowden (6/16, 38%)

We mentioned the Jamie Snowden yard having a fantastic strike-rate last week and they continue to do well – operating at a 38% SR.
The exciting Lauren’s Bay was one of their recent winners to look out for in the coming months after an easy success in a Beginners’ Chase at Uttoxeter last Friday.
While they also fired in a Hereford double last Monday with Donnie Azoff and Jackstell.
This week the Snowden camp, who sent out 62 winners, last season will have many more entries this week as the NH season starts to hot up.
Including Doc McCoy, who is entered for the Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle on Saturday at Cheltenham.
While last season’s Turners’ Novices Chase 6th Colonel Harry could be seen in Sunday’s Old Roan Chase at Aintree.
So far this jumps season, Jamie Snowden has racked up 31 winners over the jumps – which is already 50% of his tally from last term (62).
Charlie Appleby (8/23, 35%)

Another yard that featured last week was Charlie Appleby – as Godolphin’s main handler is still firing in the winners at a 35% SR heading into this week.
They actually only had one runner at Champions Day at Ascot last Saturday, which was Words Of Truth (3rd) in the new 2 year-old Conditions race.
But prior to that meeting had sent out three more winners with Noble Journey, Talk Of New York and Fort Rock winning from only a handful of runners.
This week, Appleby has more entries to note that include Ottoman Empress (Tues) and Commanding Officer (Weds) – both look to have big chances.
While looking ahead to the weekend ITV Racing schedule they could also have their promising Time To Turn in the Horris Hill Stakes at Newbury.
Appleby needs only FIVE more winners to reach the 100 winners for 2025 mark and the way he’s going – he should hit this milestone over the next week or two.
Antony Brittain (3/9, 33%)
Based on North Yorkshire, the smaller yard of Antony Brittain is another to have on your radar at present.
They’ve sent out three winners from their last nine runners – which all came at Newcastle on the AW last week.
This is interesting as they have four more runners at Newcastle on Tuesday – Desert Master, Blue Force, Bellagio Man and Asadjumeirah.
Plus, has a stack more entries to note at Southwell on both Friday and Saturday.
Phil McEntee (3/9, 33%)
Another of the smaller and lesser-known hot trainers at the moment is Phil McEntee – who are based at flat racing’s HQ in Newmarket.
Last week McEntee sent out winners at Yarmouth (Bill Plumb) and Chelmsford (Kessaar Power) – plus have carried that good form into this week with Marching Mac going in at Bath on Monday.
They’ve had 17 winners on the flat this season so far – and have entries to look out for this week.
With runners at Yarmouth on Tuesday, Nottingham and Chelmsford on Thursday and at Wolverhampton on Saturday.
