Jake Paul has provided an update after claims his next opponent would be two-time heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua.
In recent days, there have been growing rumours that YouTuber-turned boxer Jake Paul would be fighting Anthony Joshua.
Paul, 28, was set to face off against Gervonta Davis in an exhibition bout this weekend.
But after that fight was cancelled, the ‘Problem Child’ is looking for a new opponent.
And on Thursday, it was reported that a fight with 2012 Olympic gold medallist Joshua was a ‘done deal’.
Believed to have been scheduled for 19 December in Miami, the fight would no doubt draw huge attention if it does go ahead.
Jake Paul is the most popular boxer in the world in terms of social media following, while Joshua has his own global fanbase.
But it seems reports of it being confirmed were premature, with Paul issuing an update via social media.

Jake Paul Pours Cold Water On Anthony Joshua Rumours
Posting a brief update on X (formerly Twitter), Paul appeared to squash the rumours.
He suggested that he is unlikely to fight again in 2025, blaming ‘too many yes men’.
Paul said: “Not holding my breath for 2025,”
“Too many yes men.
“F1 next weekend is for sure.”
The post confirmed that Paul will be in attendance at the Formula 1’s Las Vegas Grand Prix on 23 November.

But it seemed to suggest a December fight against Joshua is out of the question.
However, some believe Paul is simply playing the game and building suspense before a surprise announcement.
In June, Jake Paul called out Joshua, so he’s clearly interested in the fight.
Stranger things have happened, so expect the rumours to continue for now.
Eddie Hearn Has His Say On Jake Paul Vs Anthony Joshua
Jake Paul isn’t the only one to issue an update on his potential fight with Anthony Joshua.
Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, also spoke out to dismiss reports of a ‘done deal’ between the two fighters.

Hearn, of Matchroom Sports, told TalkSPORT: “The gun was jumped a little bit and fired early.
“There have been conversations. We’re considering it and, at the moment, there is work to be done.
“But, could it happen? Yes, it could.
“Should Jake Paul be fighting Anthony Joshua? No.
“Is he [Paul] mad to do it? Yes.
“Is there tens and tens and tens and tens of millions of dollars for Anthony Joshua to have an eight-round run out against Jake Paul? Yes.”
Jake Paul’s Professional Boxing Record

The first of these was against fellow YouTuber, AnEsonGib, in January 2020.
He has since gone on to fight the likes of Tyron Woodley, Nate Diaz, Ben Askren and Mike Tyson.
