Eager to recover from the humbling against Manchester City, Manchester United will host Chelsea at Old Trafford for their Premier League date on Saturday afternoon.
Chelsea have yet to lose in the Premier League, whereas Man United have already suffered two defeats four matches.
Man United’s poor form has put Ruben Amorim under immense pressure. His future is reportedly up in the air, and at the time of writing, Unai Emery is 4/1 with UK betting sites to become the next Manchester United manager.
Manchester United vs Chelsea Preview and Team News
Preview
The 2024/25 season turned out to be disastrous for Manchester United. After Erik ten Hag’s dismissal, Ruben Amorim took over as the club’s permanent manager. Save for a few flashes of promise, Amorim could not deliver in his first season. The club finished trophyless and in 15th place in the Premier League rankings.
Over the summer, Manchester United spent big to sign the likes of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko. The investment has yet to pay dividends, as Man United have slipped to 14th place after picking up just four points from as many games.
They have lost to Arsenal (1-0) and Manchester City (3-0), drawn with Fulham (1-1), and claimed their only win over newly promoted Burnley (3-2).

Chelsea, on the other hand, have scored eight points from their four Premier League outings, recording two wins and two draws. They opened the campaign with a goalless draw with Crystal Palace, beat West Ham United (5-1) and Fulham (2-0) before drawing 2-2 with Brentford.
Enzo Maresca’s side, however, suffered a humbling defeat to Bayern Munich on Wednesday. In their first Champions League outing of the season, the Blues fell to a 3-1 defeat at the Allianz Arena. Cole Palmer scored Chelsea’s only goal.

Man United vs Chelsea Prediction and Best Bet
Between Bruno Fernandes, Benjamin Sesko, and Bryan Mbeumo, Manchester United have plenty of match-winners, but it has not yet come together. After the 3-0 drubbing to Manchester City last week, the Red Devils will be looking for a response, but getting it will be tough in this fixture.
Some players are goalscorers, others provide assists, some dictate play, others dribble, some carry aura, others rise in big games…
Then there’s Cole Palmer — who does it all. 🥶🥶🥶 pic.twitter.com/HYXHZEBteD

Chelsea are simply the better team at the moment, and we believe they will get the job done on Saturday.
Our Prediction: Man United 1-2 Chelsea
Best Bet
After a bit of a lull, Cole Palmer has finally started firing for Chelsea. The Englishman scored in the last two matches for the Blues and we are backing him to score against on Saturday.
Best Bet: Cole Palmer to Score for Chelsea Anytime @ 2/1
