Premier League Betting Tips On Sunday 28th Dec 2025: Struggling Spurs Travel To PalaceÂ
After a bumper Saturday with seven games, the final festive Premier League betting tips this week come on Sunday with the remaining two matches.
First up is Sunderland hosting Leeds at 2pm, which is, of course, a clash between two of the promoted sides from last season.
A fixture that ended 2-2 last season in the Championship.
With the other game between Crystal Palace and struggling Tottenham, who see their manager Thomas Frank as one of the favourites in the Premier League sack race betting odds market.
Palace did the league double over Spurs last season – so will be trying for more of the same as the sides meet for the first time this campaign.
So, if you are having a wager on Sunday’s big games – see our quick-fire stats-based Premier League betting tips, which will hopefully point you in the direction of a few winners.
Sunderland vs Leeds United 14:00
Of the three promoted sides from last season, Sunderland have surprised the most.
The Black Cats have won seven of their 17 league games and only lost four – meaning after 17 games they’ve amassed a tidy 27 points.
Leeds, who also came up, are at the other end of the table – but will be buzzing after a 4-1 home win over Palace last Saturday and are now within touching distance of a whole host of sides between 9th and 15th.
Sunderland have also been a formidable force at home though – they are yet to lose in the league at the Stadium Of Light this season (five wins, three draws).
Whereas they are taking on a Leeds side that have only one win on the road in the league this term (six losses and a draw).
Which is why there will be a lot of punters looking at the 13/8 on a Sunderland win as decent value.
Also, when looking at the H2H’s, the Black Cats have lost just one of their last five at home against Leeds.
Six of the last eight overall H2H’s also went UNDER 2.5 GOALS, so this might be an option at 4/6.
The more cautious punters might side with Sunderland/Draw at 4/9 on the ‘Double Chance’ market – don’t forget Leeds have only won one league game on the road this season.
Which is why we keep going back to the 13/8 on Sunderland winning.
These odds just look way too big for a side that are making it hard for their visitors – so let’s take the Black Cats to purr once again here.
BEST BET: SUNDERLAND WIN @ 13/8Â
Match Odds
- Sunderland 13/8
- Draw 9/4
- Leeds United 2/1
Crystal Palace vs Tottenham 16:30
Tottenham fans might have thought that former Brentford boss Thomas Frank would be the answer to seeing them finally kick-on and challenge for the league title.
However, we’ve all been here before – right?
And despite a decent start, the Frank tenure is coming under a lot of pressure after a string of poor results.
Which is why the next Tottenham manager betting odds market is one of the most popular at the moment.
And ironically the favourite to take over at the North London club is the current manager of the next club they face – Palace.
Yes, Oliver Glasner is high up the Spurs list, should they part ways with Frank.
Palace will start this Gameweek on 26 points and are ticking along nicely.
But will need to bounce back from a 4-1 away defeat against Leeds last weekend and there are some signs their busy fixture list (Europe included) is catching up with them.
Don’t forget, they were also in action in the League Cup on 23rd Dec, so Tottenham would be the fresher side.
Palace did the league double over Spurs last season though, with a 1-0 win in this fixture and a 2-0 away victory.
Six of the last nine H2H’s also saw OVER 2.5 GOALS, so if you fancy a repeat – this can be backed at Evs.
And with all of Palace’s last five games (all comps) also seeing 3+ goals. Plus 90% of Tottenham’s last 10 games also went OVER 2.5 GOALS.
Then in a tricky game to call, maybe we side away from trying to pick a winner.
Instead – let’s opt for plenty of goals and then it doesn’t matter who wins or even who scores them.
BEST BET: OVER 2.5 GOALS @ EvsÂ
Match Odds
- Crystal Palace 6/5
- Draw 5/2
- Tottenham 13/5
