Aston Villa are preparing a £26m bid to sign Real Betis star Ez Abde in the January transfer window, according to Friday’s Premier League transfer rumours.
Friday’s Premier League Transfer Rumours
Aston Villa Preparing £26m Bid for Real Betis’ Ez Abde
Aston Villa are reportedly pushing to sign Ez Abde from Real Betis in the winter transfer window.
The Premier League team are preparing an offer in the region of £26 million for the winger.
According to reports, Aston Villa are looking for a pacy winger with excellent dribbling ability, and Abde fits the profile. Villa, however, are aware that signing him will not be easy.
Abde is an integral part of Manuel Pellegrini’s system and Betis are in no rush to sell him. The Moroccan player is also enjoying life at Betis and will need a good reason to move.
So, the English club must entice the player not only with lucrative wages but also a promising sporting project.
Wolves Become Latest Club to Register Interest in Celtic’s Daizen Maeda
Daizen Maeda reportedly wants to leave Celtic in January. The 28-year-old wanted to leave last summer itself and was left frustrated when the club blocked his move. Several Premier League clubs were reportedly interested in signing him.
Sources close to the player believe the Japanese international is looking for a new challenge and is excited by the prospect of playing in the Premier League.
Over the last few weeks, Brentford, Everton, West Ham United, and Everton have been linked with Maeda. According to Friday’s Premier League transfer rumours, Wolverhampton Wanderers have also joined the race.
Wolves have had a disastrous start to the season. Picking up only two points from 11 games, they sit at the bottom of the Premier League table and are heading towards a relegation scrap.
Wolves, who have scored just seven goals in the league, could use a player of Maeda’s ability. The forward had 23 goal contributions in the Premiership last season, and could help the Premier League side bounce back in the second half of the season.
Jadon Sancho to Dortmund Rumours Shot Down By German Reporters
Due to a lack of opportunities at Aston Villa, Manchester United are rumoured to be considering calling Jadon Sancho back in the January transfer window. The Red Devils would then reportedly attempt to sell him permanently, with Dortmund linked with a move.
German reporters Oliver Muller and Manfred Sadlbauser, however, have debunked rumours of a potential move to Dortmund. They claim that Dortmund are content with their squad and do not see value in re-signing their former player.
The situation, however, could change if Karim Adeyemi leaves Dortmund in January.
Adeyemi had a public fallout with Dortmund boss Niko Kovac last month, and his future at the club looks uncertain. In the aftermath of the incident, bookmakers have slashed odds on Adeyemi joining Manchester United in a mega £80 million move.
Premier League Clubs Face Big Setback in Allan Chase
Palmeiras’ attacking midfielder Allan has become a hot topic in the transfer market, with several clubs registering interest in signing him.
Palmeiras are expecting offers for the midfielder in the winter transfer window, but none of the big Premier League clubs are in the running. So far, Brighton & Hove Albion, West Ham United, Wolverhampton, and Fulham have enquired about the player.
The Brazilian team are reluctant to entertain offers from these clubs, as they believe they would not be able to meet their asking price.
Allan is priced at around £3.5 million (€4 million) but Palmeiras value him much higher. In the summer, they reportedly rejected a £17.7 million (€20 million) bid from Zenit for the 21-year-old.
English clubs must table a bid in the region of £26.6 million (€30 million) to have a shot at signing Allan.
Matty Cash Declares He Will Join Legia Warsaw After Aston Villa Stint
Aston Villa defender Matty Cash has said he will join Legia Warsaw after running down his contract. His current deal with the Premier League club expires in June 2029.
Cash has had a few offers from Premier League clubs, but he wanted to continue at Villa.
He said:
“I had a few offers from the EPL and from outside. But I wanted to stay at Aston Villa. I like it here, I’m developing. We played in the UCL, and we’re still in Europe. Just 5 games to 200 apps for the club. I still have goals to achieve here. And in 4 years, I’m joining Legia Warsaw!”
Cash joined Villa from Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2020. He has since played in 195 games for the Birmingham club, scoring 12 goals and providing 12 assists.
Despite being born in England, Cash represents Poland on the international stage. He has played 22 matches for them, scoring four goals.
