It’s another blow for Wolves as manager Rob Edwards issued further worrying injury news ahead of Monday’s clash with Manchester United.
This season could not be going much worse so far for Wolves.
Rooted to the bottom of the Premier League, they have picked up just two points from 14 games.
And things show no sign of improvement, having lost their last eight in all competitions.
Injuries have hampered an already difficult campaign.
Fullback Matt Doherty has missed Wolves’ last three, Rodrigo Gomes remains out for the long-term, and Ladislav Krejci has picked up a knee problem.
With manager Rob Edwards under pressure from the moment he arrived, reinforcements are clearly needed.
Wolves’ January transfer targets list is a long one, but keeping the players they already have fit is proving impossible.
And ahead of their next fixture, Edwards has confirmed yet another blow.
Wolves Injury News Another Blow For Rob Edwards
On Wednesday, Marshall Munetsi was brought on five minutes from time against Nottingham Forest.
But the Zimbabwean midfielder hobbled off injured just minutes later.
With no substitutes remaining, Rob Edwards’ side were forced to see out the 1-0 home defeat with 10 men.

On Monday, Wolves host Manchester United at Molineux.
And Edwards has issued a worrying injury update, with Munetsi a major doubt.
“We think he’s pulled his calf, but we don’t know the full details yet,” said the manager.
But it appears that Munetsi will struggle to be fit in time for the United clash.
As a result, Wolves will be severely limited in terms of midfield cover.
Wolves’ Midfield Options Are Already Severely Limited
As well as Munetsi, Wolves will also be without the suspended Joao Gomes.
With Ladislav Krejci not yet fully fit, who can Rob Edwards turn to?
Jean-Ricner Bellegarde is the only true midfielder available, meaning Wolves may be forced to deploy defender Emmanuel Agbadou in the middle once again.
The Ivorian did grab two assists last time he played there, but it’s far from his natural position.
With Wolves already in the midst of what looks to be a doomed season, this latest injury could not come at a worse time.
Edwards may be forced to start Krejci, who has not yet trained fully with the team.
Losing Menetsi is therefore a major blow, and stacks the odds further against Wolves on Monday night.
An unlikely win against United was always hopeful at best, but it now seems near impossible for Rob Edwards’ depleted squad.
