Bob Odenkirk reprises his role as former government assassin Hutch Mansell in Nobody 2. Will fans come out to the theaters for this action sequel? View the box office odds and predictions for Nobody 2.
What Is Nobody 2 About?
All Hutch wants is a quiet family vacation.
Four years after the events of Nobody, Hutch still owes $30 million to the mob, forcing him to work off his debt by executing hits on international criminals.
When Hutch finds himself drifting apart from his wife, Becca (Connie Nielsen), the couple agrees to take a vacation with their two kids (Gage Munroe, Paisley Cadorath). The Mansells head to Bill’s Majestic Midway and Waterpark, the only place where Hutch and his brother Harry (RZA) went on vacation as kids.
Everywhere he goes, Hutch finds trouble, and a minor incident in the town attracts nefarious figures, including the theme-park operator (John Ortiz), the sheriff (Colin Hanks), and a ruthless crime boss (Sharon Stone).
Christopher Lloyd, Michael Ironside, Colin Salmon, Billy MacLellan, Mckenna Grace, and Chris Pine also star.
Timo Tjahjanto directs Nobody 2 from a screenplay by Derek Kolstad and Aaron Rabin, based on a story by Kolstad.
Nobody 2 opens in theaters on August 8, 2025.

Will audiences come out to see an unlikely sequel? Released in March 2021, Nobody made $57.5 million on a budget of $16 million. That’s a modest hit by all accounts. Does that warrant a sequel? We will find out.
Polymarket’s odds favor an opening of less than $11 million (-108). Box Office Theory currently has Nobody 2 tracking between $11 million and $16 million, but that’s on the high side.
Nobody 2 faces stiff competition from holdovers Weapons and Freakier Friday. Weapons had a spectacular opening of $42.5 million last weekend.
Don’t expect Weapons to fall apart this weekend. In fact, strong word of mouth and critical acclaim could propel Weapons to a $25 million second weekend.
Freakier Friday could also find success in its second weekend after a $29 million opening. Early projections have Weapons and Freakier Friday opening ahead of Nobody 2.
Update: Nobody made $9.2 million in its opening weekend.
