Sunday was not a good day to be Mike McDaniel.
The Dolphins looked unprepared and were outmatched in their 33-8 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
Miami’s defense allowed the Colts to score on all seven of their possessions. The Colts outgained the Dolphins 418 to 211.
Miami’s high-powered offense was held to 43 yards in the first half. For comparison, the Colts ran 43 plays in the first half.
Tua Tagovailoa completed 14 of 23 passes for 114 yards with one touchdown, two interceptions, and one lost fumble.
Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle combined for eight catches and 70 yards.
Losing is one thing; being embarrassed in defeat is another. According to BetOnline, McDaniel has the best odds (-200) to be the first NFL head coach fired.

New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll (+500) is the second name on the list behind McDaniel.
Similar to the Dolphins, the Giants put out an embarrassing effort on offense with only 231 total yards.
Quarterback Russell Wilson struggled in his debut start with the Giants, completing 17 of 37 for 168 yards with zero touchdowns and interceptions.
Wilson will remain the starter for Week 2’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. However, the calls for Jaxson Dart will get louder if Wilson continues to struggle.
