Tennis players Frances Tiafoe and Jack Draper have announced coaching changes.
Frances Tiafoe
Tiafoe has struggled in 2025. As a result, he shut down his season early and has split with his coach David Witt.
Frances Tiafoe has dropped to World No. 29 after ascending to his career high World No. 10 ranking in 2023.
The 27-year-old American finishes the season with a 26-23 record. He lost in the only final he reached this year at the US Men’s Clay Court Championship (ATP 250) in Houston to compatriot Jenson Brooksby in straight sets.
Tiafoe is the fourth ranked American behind Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, and Tommy Paul; however, Brandon Nakashima, Alex Michelsen, and Learner Tien are right behind him at 34th, 36th, and 38th respectively.
A replacement coach has yet to be named.
David Witt has bounced around the WTA and ATP ranks after being the longtime coach of Venus Williams and Jessica Pegula. Witt worked with Maria Sakkari.
Jack Draper
Weeks ago we learned that British number one Jack Draper would be working with Jamie Delgado in 2026. Delgado has previously coached Andy Murray, Grigor Dimitrov, and Gilles Muller.
At the time, we thought Delgado would be working with Draper’s longtime coach James Trotman. However, Trotman wants to step aside to focus on his family and his roles as the British men’s national tennis coach.
Trotman is expected to work in concert with Delgado through the end of November before stepping away.
Draper and Trotman have a great relationship and part on good terms. Trotman has coached Draper for four years and was instrumental in his three ATP title victories including this year’s win at Indian Wells.

Jack Draper has been sidelined with injury which forced him off the ATP Tour for months. He also gave up his spot (replaced by Stefanos Tsitsipas) as one of the six kings at this week’s Six Kings Slam in Saudi Arabia.
