NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Fans Respond To Corey Heim Claiming Slim Jim 200 At Martinsville Speedway

 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Corey Heim attempted to stay humble after winning Friday’s Slim Jim 200 at Martinsville Speedway. 

When asked Friday after winning the Round 8 finale, Heim deflected any attention to him being the overwhelming favorite to earn the drivers’ championship at Phoenix Raceway on Oct. 31. 

“I don’t want to jump to any conclusions yet,” Heim said, as reported by Motorsport. “We got a big race next week.” 

Outside of Heim dominating the series this season with a record 11 trips to Victory Lane, the fight to qualify for the Championship 4 race came down to one point for four pilots and the final three spots. 

Reigning series titleholder Ty Majeski and Tyler Ankrum advanced, one point ahead of Kaden Honeycutt and Layne Riggs, who started Friday from the pole. 

Honeycutt moved on via tiebreaker rules.
