Back full-time on the Xfinity Series after three seasons on the Cup circuit, Harrison Burton on Saturday earned the pole position for Saturday night’s IAA and Ritchie Bros. 250 race at Martinsville Speedway.
Piloting the No. 25 Ford, Burton registered a hot qualifying lap of 95.429 mph and will start on the inside of the front row for the first time in 106 career outings. It also marked the first organizational pole for AM Racing.
He edged runner-up Carson Kvapil by 0.005 seconds.
In the Round of 8 finale, Burton seeks his first Xfinity win since visiting Victory Lane four times in 2020.
Burton announced Saturday he will join Sam Hunt Racing for the 2026 campaign.
Ryan Sieg turned the fastest practice lap at 92.860 mph.

Xfinity Closing Out Run Commercial-Free
As part of its final weekend of carrying the namesake for NASCAR’s second-tier series, Xfinity and the CW Network will present the Championship 4 race at Phoenix Raceway on Nov. 1 as a commercial-free event.
Xfinity is ending its 11-year run following the 2025 season. In 2026, the circuit will be known as the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. The 127-lap feature will air live and uninterrupted.
